  1. Luckily I got most of my Banned Books Week stuff read and reviewed by Monday night. I wanted to finish and review The Awakening for one last post on Saturday but I just didn’t have time to write the review. Oh well. I’m calling it a head start on next year! Enjoy your week!

  2. i “petered” out on Banned Book Week too. I really wanted to get involved and read or reread at least one book. Might try to win your copy of The Lord of the Flies by Golding. Have a good week.

  3. I just finished the funniest book: Village Books by Craig McLay. Got it as a Kindle freebie. I had grand plans for GWTW for BBW, but read Village Books and The 39 Steps instead. Have just started The Ivy Tree by Mary Stewart and have Book Thief sitting here for next. Both are library books and the Mary Stewart is in extremely rough shape, but the only copy in our system

  4. I’m impressed with all you have posted this week on your blog–definitely a busy week. I just don’t get why people are so frightened by books they disagree with. I find that books are a safe place to explore dangerous ideas.

    1. Well put Kay – books are just that. And those that are younger as long as they have parental (or adult) guidance to help them choose books and answer questions there is no reason for any book to be attacked.

Hmmmm... what do you think?
