Good morning from Georgia. 😀 On Thursday morning, College son (Justin) and I landed in Florida and had a wonderful two days exploring and experiencing Universal Studios – Harry Potter World (I know that’s not the right name, but that’s what I keep calling it) We had a blast, rode the rides, had the butter beer, enjoyed the sun! 😀
As you can imagine – all you Harry Potter addicts out there… the park was AMAZING and I highly recommend it to all ages! Here is a quick little clip that I took of the area but this did not capture it all… I wish I would have filmed more.
Then Saturday morning we packed up out of our Orlando hotel and drove our rental car two and a half hours to St Marys Georgia to where my Navy Son (Brad) is living. He has weekends off so we came to stay with him our final two days of our vacation. It is a blast seeing where he lives and it was awesome to have both boys in the same place!

We hung out at Brads did a little food shopping at Wal-Mart for our weekend and then later went to a Hibachi restaurant which was fun and oh so delicious!

One of Brad’s friends came over last night and we played cards until about 10:30 last night when I was too wiped out to play any more. They continued on to the wee hours of the morning so that is why I am holed up in the bedroom… I am awake but no one else is. 😀 I woke up at 6 am and caught up on emails and a little writing. Now I am going to jump in the shower and start my day. I have been quiet long enough 😀
My reading is still lacking due to the activity in my life right now. I know the boys are watching the game later and I will do a little reading then and a trip to Wal-Mart to look for some new luggage (part of my long story about my bad horrible experience with Spirit Airlines)
Tomorrow morning we pack up early and head back to the Orlando Airport and fly home. I will be back in Minnesota tomorrow evening landing around 5:30 pm and then driving the three hours back home. The rest of the week I plan to keep as quiet as possible 🙂
what a super trip with your boys!
Thanks Candice 🙂
Still thinking this sounds like a wonderful vacation…spending time with your grown up boys!!
It really is – today’s going to be pretty awesome 😉
Oh, I envy you this experience, especially the part about seeing both boys together. I can’t remember the last time all of my kids were together in one place…I think it was 1997! I remember this because of the photos….
We usually have times with two or three together…the one living in Berlin is the fly in the ointment…lol
Enjoy the rest of your trip!
It is hard to get together thats for sure 🙂 They were both at the house in July when Brad cane home for two weeks and Justin came for a couple days so we could all be together.
Enjoy your last day with your boys!
Thanks Kathy 🙂 Justin will fly back into Minnesota with me but then he heads to Mankato and I head to Brainerd.
You deserve a quiet week–to get caught up on reading and I hope to vote!
I voted before I left 🙂 And yeah I am going to lay low through next weekend 😉
glad for you [and them!]
safe journeys… 🙂
Thank you 🙂
Hibachi is soooo good! Glad to hear you’re having such a good time with your sons!
It was a good time Cass and yeah…. YUM! Eating my left overs for breakfast now 😉
That is so great that you are getting to spend time with both your sons at the same time! What a great trip. And Harry Potter World?! Fantastic! When I went to the Harry Potter studio tour this summer I was in heaven so I definitely have the amusement park on my “to do” list
I am having a blast Helen 😀 Sad for it to be out last day but also will be glad to get home to hubby and my puppies 😀
Hi i live in Georgia near Savannah. Next time you come this way come visit old savannah you’ll love it.Just don’t do it in the summer.. Its to hot here. I’m glad you had a good time joannie
We seen Savannah signs! 😀
Oh, sad if the airline lost your luggage, but it sounds like you had a great time anyway!
No – not lost 🙂 just a “size thing… and just a bad bad experience and rude rude employees… seriously, you can not even imagine… my son was livid and I was about in tears I was so angry…, but yes, hanging out with the boys trumps poor service.
