Welcome to It’s Monday!  What Are You Reading!  This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

Another crazy week has gone by and I wish I had more to report but this is what I accomplished this past week in posts:

Rebecca Read-A-Long (ooh this was fun!!!!)

will grayson, will grayson by John Green (what?  I am liking John Green books!!!)  😛

Looking For Alaska by John Green (*sigh*  I am so living John Green’s books!)

Yeah…. nothing impressive, still reading the same books… working on some new audio….  New for this week will be:

Lucy Bloom is broke, has been dumped by her boyfriend, and had to sell her house to send her 19-year-old son to drug rehab. Although she’s lost it all, she’s determined to start over. So when she’s offered a high-paying gig helping clear the clutter from the home of reclusive and eccentric painter Marva Meier Rios, Lucy grabs it. Armed with the organizing expertise she gained while writing her book, Things Are Not People, and fueled by a burning desire to get her life back on track, Lucy rolls up her sleeves to take on the mess that fills every room of Marva’s huge home. Lucy soon learns that the real challenge may be taking on Marva, who seems to love the objects in her home too much to let go of any of them.

While trying to stay on course toward a strict deadline – and with an ex-boyfriend back in the picture, a new romance on the scene, and her son’s rehab not going as planned – Lucy discovers that Marva isn’t just hoarding: she is also hiding a big secret. The two form an unlikely bond, as each learns from the other that there are those things in life we keep and those we need to let go – but it’s not always easy to know the difference.

I started this one yesterday and I am really enjoying it so far. 

 

Other than that, I am still trying to clean up some books I want to finish.  This week should be good for that as I have Monday and Tuesday off this week and I am sooooooo thrilled!!!!  😀  REST AND RELAXATION time!!!

  1. Objects of My Affection sounds like a fun book. I’m glad you are enjoying the John Green books. I’ve only read The Fault in Our Stars but I liked it.

  4. Enjoy your R&R, you sure had a busy week last week. I’ve heard good things about Jill Smolinksi’s writing and I have The Fault In Our Stars & Paper Town (have you read it Sheila?) by John Green on my TBR mountain … just not enough hours in the day 🙂

    1. Hi Mystica, yes if you want to be in on the drawing, I just need to know how many you visited (or a good guess) 😀 I do that to encourage blog visiting and getting to meet some of the great bloggers and books out there. 😀

    Excited to see your thoughts on more John Green books! I’m in the minority and didn’t love will grayson, will grayson but that was primarily because I just couldn’t stand the tougher of the two will’s. But I love his other books! 🙂

  19. Oooh, it sounds like it would be good. I hope to finally get to started on Dark Frost. it has been a hectic weekend, with Sprint messing up my new iphone. 😦 At least I fixed it. Have a great day.

  24. This is the second time I’ve heard about a book featuring hoarding – sounds interesting, very interesting.

    I’m going to spend the rest of the summer reading from my TBR pile – when I’m not obsessing over Castleville, anyway. 🙂

    1. I am curious about the other hoarding book Mardel…. I am fascinated on the subject…. I think sometimes I may be a book hoarder, but I do try to keep it arranged in a manner that doesnt give away my addiction to books….LOL

  27. Objects of my affection sounds really interesting. I have to wonder if it’d be difficult to read, though. Since hoarding is a mental illness and I already have enough contact with mental illness in my life (via family).

    1. Its not a difficult read Jo mainly because it is really focused around the woman hired to help clean up the house and has quite a bit of humor to it… I can see where it could have been heavy, but the author does a good job of avoiding that 😀
