Morning Meanderings…. I wish I was THAT Girl

Its no secret here that I love the back deck to our house.  This time of year it is my FAVORITE “room”.  This morning is gorgeous as it has been for a while now and I like to get up as the sun in barely coming up, grab my coffee cup and stand on the deck listening to the earth awaken.

I sometimes wish I was out on that deck, which faces away from the road and is quite secluded…. I wish that I would be out there in the morning doing yoga or pilates…. striking a warrior pose and preparing mentally for my day….. stretching, maybe doing a short run around the property….

but uhhh…. yeah, wishes and all that – I am not that girl.  😛

Books that came in this week:

Books I found at a sale:

Have to go… running late!

  1. The book sale books look interesting and old…I would want to keep those out somewhere…I love the description of Amber House and Shadow Man looks good, too…I know what you mean about a private back deck…ours is on a pond and so far this year I have seen a hawk sitting on ours and a huge heron exploring our deck furniture!

    Enjoy your day!

  2. I should be out on our patio in the early morning with my coffee, but I take advantage of the coolness to turn on the computer in my study – the hottest room in the house. Later it’s still cool on the patio if there’s a breeze, until late afternoon. Fortunately, I’m home most days. Retired, you know. 😀

  3. The back deck is my favorite room in the summer too. I roll out the awning, grab my coffee, and something to read whenever I have the time. You won’t catch me doing yoga there… the neighbors have a pretty good view!

Hmmmm... what do you think?
