Welcome to It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!
I love being a part of this and I hope you do too! As part of this weekly meme I love to encourage you all to go and visit the others participating in this meme. I offer a weekly contest for those who visit 10 or more of the Monday Meme participants and leave a comment telling me how many you visited. **You do not have to have a blog to participate! You receive one entry for every 10 comments, just come back here and tell me how many in the comment area.

Well.. it was another week around here. If you read my morning post today you know just how crazy it was. With hardly a free hour all week between work and evening commitments, books fell again to the wayside and believe me…. that does not make me happy. I am person who needs down time to re energize, and books in my life. When things are out of whack…
I am out of whack.
LOL…. couldn’t resist. Anyway – here is what did happen here last week:
What’s Your Number? Movie review
Very Valentine by Adriana Trigiani ( a re – read but this time with my book club and oh…. the food!!!)
The Making Of A Book Club (I was asked to talk about my book club and what we do and how we do it… and as I love talking about my book club…. this is that post 🙂 )
One False Move by Harlan Coben (audio book and Coben lOVE!!!)
Fun Facts!!! (Have you played yet? If not, please do – it is so much fun!!!)
The Eyre Report #2 (week two and my journey with Jane Eyre…)
The books on my radar did not for the most part get read last week so I am sticking with them and only adding…
Every day Christine wakes up not knowing where she is. Her memories disappear every time she falls asleep. Her husband, Ben, is a stranger to her, and he’s obligated to explain their life together on a daily basis–all the result of a mysterious accident that made Christine an amnesiac. With the encouragement of her doctor, Christine starts a journal to help jog her memory every day. One morning, she opens it and sees that she’s written three unexpected and terrifying words: “Don’t trust Ben.” Suddenly everything her husband has told her falls under suspicion. What kind of accident caused her condition? Who can she trust? Why is Ben lying to her? And, for the reader: Can Christine’s story be trusted? At the heart of S. J. Watson’s Before I Go To Sleep is the petrifying question: How can anyone function when they can’t even trust themselves?
Doesn’t that sound good? Cant wait to start it?
Best friends Sydney, Kelly, Alexia and Raven have seen each other through everything…until three of the girls are dumped by their respective boyfriends…on the same night! Reeling from this, the girls decide to create a list of rules to help them avoid future heartache. But soon they find out that while breaking up is hard to do, sometimes staying broken up is even harder!
I mentioned I have been desperate to find audio…. this is from the library – it is a cute listen, I am about half way through.
Think about life and God. These goofy ideas and beliefs are assumed by millions to be rock-solid truth . . . until life proves they’re not. The sad result is often a spiritual disaster–confusion, feelings of betrayal, a distrust of Scripture, loss of faith, anger toward both the church and God.
But it doesn’t have to be so. In this delightfully personal and practical book, respected Bible teacher Larry Osborne confronts ten widely held beliefs that are both dumb and dangerous. Beliefs like these:
• Faith can fix anything
• God brings good luck
• Forgiving means forgetting
• Everything happens for a reason
• A godly home guarantees good kids…and more.
We are reading this for my weekly small group study and I am interested in cracking into this one and discussing with the group.
I think that is all I am going to add right now. I have several audio books requested from my library but no telling which will come in first or when… hopefully soon. I have sever audio on my IPOD but none coming up for my kitchen CD player or the car…
I am curious what you are reading and listening to! Please add you link below where it says click here!

I liked your post about your book club and hope you write about them again sometime. Would you mind sharing a list of the books you’ve read over the years?
I have heard good things about Before I Go to Sleep and I can’t wait to hear what you think of it.
Have a great week! I hope you find plenty of time to relax.
I would not mind that at all Christina! Through the years I have kept a year by year breakdown of all the books we have read as well as our pick for the best of the year. It would be good to put that info on line 😉
Oh – My name. Wow! Thank you. I don’t think a couple of my emails have gone through so I will let you know this week on a book choice.
I can sure relate to a busy week. And we are having a church ladies retreat this weekend. I know it will be fun but it will no doubt throw my schedule off a bit.
10 Dumb Things sounds like it will be a good study.
I hope this week is more restful and enjoyable for you. 🙂
It could be me too Martha – I have been so busy as of late that my book email the one I list for all book communications has been neglected. I just have not had the time to read them! So bad I know! 😯
Our retreat was this current weekend and yeah, it is sad when even the fun stuff becomes just one more thing to do.
The heart breakers sounds good. I will have to check it out! Thanks for stopping by my blog.
Sara @upon a love story
Sure Sara, I am liking The Heartbreakers…. just a random pick from the library 😀
I’m currently reading Dark Lover by J. R. Ward. I plan to finish it today though. Next on my reading pile is A game of thrones and a biography of a Danish actor.
I want tot get those Game Of Throne books… some day… 🙂
It’s probably bad that I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one a little bit out of whack recently. I’m hoping jumping back into things will help me get back to “normal”. Hopefully this week will be easier on you too!
Off to check out the food for your book club this week…sounds like fun! 🙂
Have a fabulous week!
Its good to have company Danielle 😀 I need to force myself into better time management and habits this week… enough is enough!
I had a bit of a slower week all around too. I don’t know if it’ll get better this week either, but I’ll keep my fingers crossed!

Before I Go to Sleep sounds spooky – I think I would love it! I visited and commented on 10 blogs too. xx
YAY Wendy!!!
You always seem to have so much reading going on Shelia, I have enough trouble concentrating on one book at a time. 🙂
I like the multiple books… I need the mix up 😀
Before I Go To Sleep was a great audiobook! My audiobook listening has taken a hit since I am restricted from exercising. It is driving me nuts! Have a good week.
OOH I didnt think about it on audio…..
Thansk Nise – hope you get back in your audio swing!
The Heartbreakers sounds like a good book. Sometimes it’s nice to read something a little more light and fluffy. I officially signed up for BEA! I’m definitely going Wednesday, but will try to make it to the Book Blogger breakfast on Monday as well. 🙂 Can’t wait!
You have a really interesting week planned, a little bit of everything!! Thanks, for stopping by. Did you see you won a book?

I’ve picked “Henry’s Sisters” as our March read for my book club. I just read it and really liked it. Got the title from you, you know.
You are my ‘go to’ book recommendation guru. LOL
Have a good week.
Oh fun Debbie! I will have to let Amy who brought it to our book club as a suggested read know… she will get a kick that the title is being passed on!
It is such a great discussion book!
I commented on 30 blogs (numbers 60-90) Thanks for the great meme and happy reading.

I’m going to have to add Before I Go To Sleep one. That sounds good.
I think so too… lots of great reviews on that one!
Same kind of week, here, Sheila, so I understand. In fact, I ended up running away from home for a brief retreat!
I am dying to read Before I Go To Sleep – it sounds soooo good! One of my book groups just chose it for our April read – can’t wait!
I hope you have some quiet time this week so you can enjoy your books –
Sue
I was on a retreat too but not the kind I needed – I needed seclusion! Hope your retreat went well and you are all ready for this new week! 😀
Ugh! I have been sick and it sucks! I havent been able to do much reading this week.
Ugh! Hope you feel better soon!
Great mailbox and that cartoon cracked me up big time!! I loved it and if you don’t mind I’m going to post it on my FB page because it makes me smile and laugh!!
Have a great week!
Have fun with it…. I was looking up whacked and found it 😀
*Giggle* love the cartoon. I’ve seen great reviews for Before I Go To Sleep, it’s on my wishlist.
Hope this week is a little more settled, have fun and happy reading 🙂
Thanks Sheree, so far the week is smooth…. and tomorrow may be a snow day which normally would annoy me to no end but now I am thinking how great it would be to be trapped in my home with books and soup 😀
Hope you are having a wonderful week.
Thanks (“Right Ryan”) Ryan! You too!
I am reading a book called LYE IN WAIT by Cricket McRae. Sheila since you are a book lover and reader. This is what the book is about:
Lye in Wait is a cozy mystery with a fresh face. Not all tea and crumpets, Sophie Mae Reynolds works hard, likes single-malt Scotch, and lives with her best friend, her best friend’s ten-year-old daughter, and a snarky old Corgi. She’s smart, prettier than she knows and possesses a wry sense of humor. She also barrels into situations without thinking and manages to embarrass herself with amazing regularity as she puzzles out why the neighborhood handyman drank a glass of lye and died on her workroom floor.
Finalist for the 2007 ForeWord Magazine Book of the Year Award
This sounds kind of like a fun read Millie! I hope you are enjoying it!
I liked Before I go to Sleep. Read it a few weeks ago…kept me guessing. Can’t wait to hear what you think about it. Our Bookgroup also read Henry’s Sisters last year. 🙂
