Morning Meanderings…

A brief good morning as I run out the door!  I have a breakfast meeting with my friend Heidi in ooh, lets say 20 minutes.  Today I will spend much of the day prepping for the 150 mile bike ride that starts tomorrow.  My bike is currently in getting a little tune up (who knew you had to tune up bikes?), I need to pack an overnight bag since Saturday evening we will be at the camp, stay over night there and then bike back…..

Which means…. yes – unless there is internet available at the camp on Saturday evening, you will not hear any live conversation with me until Sunday evening.  I will have posts up throughout the weekend, including a book review in a couple of hours here and a meandering tomorrow before I leave as well as an author chat for Saturday.

Have a great day everyone – any fun weekend plans?

  1. Sheila-have fun-quick question have you been training for this-I have not heard a word from you-Enjoy the ride and enjoy yourself.

    1. Not really Esme…. I do bike rides but this will be the biggest this year. I have done a couple 34’s this year, time has been a real issue.

I think that’s why I am so excited to finally get out there again – I am praying the weather is nice like it is today. There will be pics 😀

    1. Thanks Laurel, biking with friends is always a blast and for a good cause on top of it…. its like triple duty: hanging with friends, doing it for charity, and the bonus workout for me 😀

  2. Fun weekend plans? Lets see, we (my husband and son) are digging out under our house so they don’t have to crawl on their bellies when the heat pump is replaced. It will also allow them to finish insulating the floor and wall off the crawl space to help keep the house warmer in winter. They are also replacing some of the house supports. Right now this big Victorian house is sitting on pillars of limestone rocks. They take up more room than the concrete and steel posts that are being put in. Only some are being replaced. I just hope the jack doesn’t slip and drop the house.
I am working in the gardens, weeding and picking tomatoes.
We may go look at cars this afternoon.
