Paddy Meehan is no stranger to murder–as a reporter she lives at crime scenes–but nothing has prepared her for this visit from the police. Her former boyfriend and fellow journalist Terry Patterson has been found hooded and shot through the head. Paddy knows she will be of little help–she had not seen Terry in more than six months. So she is bewildered to learn that in his will he has left her his house and several suitcases full of notes. Drawn into a maze of secrets and lies, Paddy begins making connections to Terry’s murder that no one else has seen, and soon finds herself trapped in the most important–and dangerous–story of her career.

Hmm….a new title…Secrets And Lies?
Strange happenings.
How about “Death’s Secrets”?
How about “Paddy’s Inheritance”?
I’d call it Trapped in Murder’s Web.
bgcchs(at)yahoo(dot)com
A Suitcase of Secrets
I’m glad I’m not first, those are some good ones!
How about calling it The Big One.
(as in the big story of her career)
I LOVE Darcy’s title suggestion! or maybe Paddy’s Lethal Inheritance?
The Paddy Wagon!
Cindi
A Deadly Inheritance – I keep meaning to read this author.
I had a few thoughts, however they have already been mentioned! Suitcase of Secrets was my first thought.
I also thought of A Dangerous Story, in reference to her story as a reporter, however not sure it would be a good title.
Being completely uncreative I would use, No Stranger To Murder.
Story DEADline or just DEADLINE. Am too tired to think of anything else.
I would name it Bewildered.
Reporter’s Notebook. But that’s kind of boring.
Titles are hard!
Meehan’s Maze
Legacy of Secrets
Notes from a Legacy
Knick-Knack Paddy Whack
(lol)
The Secret Maze. :0)
I feel like the title is giving something away here. Why a Slip of the Knife? Wasn’t he shot? Anyway, I would call this A Suitcase of Circumstances. Not for any particular reason other than I like the sound of it. 🙂
How about “Where There’s a Will…”
This looks like such a haunting read
I originally was going to say Secrets & Suitcases but that’s almost exactly what Marilu said. I want to work the hood in their somewhere but I’m coming up wuth nothing.
So very creative titles there. Mine, not so creative…”Why Me?”
Inheritance of Secrets….not feeling creative on this one at all-perhaps it’s lack of caffiene?
I would title it “Heir to Misfortune.”
skkorman AT bellsouth DOT net
My suggested title is “House of Lies.”
dlhaley[at]hotmail[dot]com
how about “SECRETS”
I would have called it “Deadly Surprises”.
ayancey(at)dishmail(dot)net
I would name it “The Tell Tale Corpse”
How about “Paper Trail To Murder” ?
rubymoonstone at gmail dot com
Maze of Lies
Thats hard! Not very good at this but how about A Deadly Turn
dcf_beth at verizon dot net
To Die for Money.
Notes in the Suitcase
I think I would call it Maze of Murder.
Thanks for the giveaway!
hmmmm….in terry’s will
though i’ve gotta say, the title it has is much better…
Following Terry’s Lead
“He Done Me Wrong”
“Maze of Lies”
Sheila, have you picked a winner for this yet? I just took your button linking to this challenge off my sidebar but realized I hadn’t read about a winner yet. Should I put it back up for my extra entry?
Thank you Lynne for seeing this – I thought that one didn’t end until today. I will try to get winners up tonight 🙂
hmmm what about Paddys Notes?
hope whoever won enjoyed the book!!
