Morning Meanderings…. A Few Books And Things To Accomplish

MM3

It is cold here this morning in Central Minnesota.  I am here with COFFEE Cup and blanket and thinking about my crazy day.

Tomorrow I have my first big meeting for the Minnesota Association Of Library Friends at 10 am in ST Paul.  I will need to leave here by 7 am to give myself a nice cushion on arriving in plenty of time to feel comfortable.  That goes until 2 pm and THEN we have our Annual Friends meeting here in town at 6:00 pm.  Neither of these meetings am I ready for.  😯

I have papers to print out for the St Paul Meeting and stuff I should probably look over that just came by email yesterday.  For our meeting I still need to make the agenda, a new 2015 Friends Roster and prep what I am going to bring to the potluck.  I have not felt that well the past couple of days so that is assisting in the procrastination.

Ok… lets talk about books for a moment:

1aa

Jack and Louisa ACT 1 by Andrew Bolger and Kate Wetherhead

The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah

My Sunshine Away by M O Walsh

Fun mix!

Tonight we have a Super Bowl party to go to and I am hopeful I am feeling well by then.  I really want to go and I need to bring something.  I have an idea of what I plan to bring, just need to get in gear and pick up the ingredients.

The good thing about the library association meeting is that with it being two + hours away I will finally have some real audio listening time.  Something I have not had for a month!

  1. Have fun at your party and enjoy the long drive and listening time. I have been listening to my audio in fits and starts but I’m at the point where I really want to just sit in my car and listen until the battery dies. LOL!

  2. Happily, our Super Bowl party will be just my husband, me, and Katie Cat….and maybe a bowl of popcorn as our treat. I’m making a big pot of homemade vegetable beef soup to keep us warm today — it’s snowing, but we probably won’t get more than an inch or so here in Northern Colorado. That’s fine with me.

  3. Hope you enjoy your audio listening on the drive….I used to do lots of traveling and commuting, which would have been conducive to book listening, but don’t do much driving long distances anymore. Maybe when I drive up north to visit my youngest son, who moved there a couple of months ago.

    Feel better…

  4. I hope you feel better soon, and it may still be the aftermath of the long trip and travel, etc. Hope you’re not actually catching a bug from any of it!

I’m sure your day will turn out fine and somehow you always manage to get things done (though I don’t know how without stress! lol), and you’ll get to that Superbowl party. I’m not a Superbowl person (I think the last one I watched/enjoyed was when Whitney sang the anthem (LOVE that), but that said, on my friend Kathy’s blog she posted something about bees you or your beekeeping friends might find interesting 🙂

    Have a great Sunday, everyone!

    1. I have no time for a bug – my Monday is full! 😀 Tuesday I can be sick.. I can schedule it for Tuesday….LOL 😀 I am not a super bowl fan either but I really like the commercials! Us girls usually hang out and talk.

  5. Probably coming from the heat here in Auckland to the cold of Minnesota will give you a little something, so pleased that your adventures down under went so well and you enjoyed yourselves. We are lucky to live in such a nice place.

  6. I hope you feel better. I agree with Marion about the climate change perhaps being the cause as well as the stress of coming back to everything.

ENJOY the Super Bowl Party and both of your meetings. I am sure you will be completely prepared and do a fantastic job at both.

    GET BETTER. Let us know.

  7. Good luck finishing everything today and all of your meetings tomorrow! I hope you can avoid the plague that seems to be affecting so many. Have fun at your party!

  8. I’m so happy to see the new Kristin Hannah book on your list this week! She’s coming to Scottsdale for a book signing next week. I will be there! Is she coming to Minnesota?

Welcome home from your awesome trip!

Hmmmm... what do you think?
