Good morning! We made it to Saturday! My house is quiet, the boys are gone, Al is out working, and the day is all mine. LOVE days like this. No agenda. Nada. I thought for Saturday Snapshot today we would take a peek at Christmas, but first… look at this shot out my front window this morning…

Yup. Central Minnesota has no snow. Some are complaining. I get that there is no tubing, skiing, snowmobiling… but to me it means there is no super cold, super wet, slippery roads, driveways to plow, sidewalks to shovel…. I’m good with this. 🙂
Christmas as I mentioned yesterday was lovely. We had a great day of food and games and movies. We opened gifts and hung out together.
Good times! Now this week is fairly quiet but I have a big trip coming up soon so need to prep for that. (More details to come!)
For those of you participating in the First Book Of The Year (and I hope you all are!) please send in your pic of you and the book by December 31s so I can prep the collage to go up on January 1st. Details about first book are here.
I’m happy with no snow too. 😉
I know it is probably coming… but for now… YAY!!!
No snow in SE WI – my back is very happy about that!
Awesome! 😀
Glad you had a great Christmas. Thanks for sharing your photos.
Sure 🙂 Merry Christmas Pat!
Oh, wow, that is unusual not to have snow…I suspect it will be coming, though, LOL.
Great Christmas collage…everyone looks like they are having a great time, even the dogs.
Thanks Laurel! Yes we had our three dogs plus Brads little black one, Cruise.
It was so surprising to hear that my son in Chicago has no snow either! Crazy!

We had had some rain, which took out what little snow we had. This works well for my hubby’s business but I know it hurts our winter economy.
It is quiet here also, we have about an inch of snow on the ground with needlessly for tonight. I have been busy using my Amazon card. Added two more of Betty Webb’s books DESERT LOST desERT SHADOWS.

I like dustings of snow, or up to maybe 2″ since that’s easy enough to shovel and looks pretty 🙂 Once it’s more than that, I can do without it!
Your day looks like it was a happy one and I have to ask…what’s the domino board game with chips???
The game is called Sequence. It is super fun and easy to learn. It is a card game and you use the board to try to get a sequence of 5 in a row while your opponents try to block you while trying to make their own sequence first.
Your picture looks just like Oregon right now! Merry Christmas!
I’m missing the white stuff, but I’m sure it will make an appearance soon enough, so I’m not whinging about it too much! Mellow Christmas here also … hanging out with the kids and their friends and letting them do the cooking … it was great!
Planning for a big trip is always exciting. It must be odd not to have snow.
Merry Christmas!
Glad you enjoyed your Chrissy day with your family. I’ve been waiting for a sunny day to take a pic of me with my book – fingers crossed for tomorrow 🙂
No snow here either. Can’t wait to hear about your trip.
I’m fine with no snow except when it means cold, cold, cold. To me, if I have to endure the frigid weather, at least there should be snow to make up for it. 🙂
Friends of ours introduced us a couple years back to Sequence. It can be addicting fun. In other words, it’s the perfect game for groups.
Christmas was a lovely one for my husband and I with his parents. We exchanged gifts, played games, and ate delicious food. Our dogs had a blast ripping into the wrapping paper.
Happy New Year!
No snow here in southern Wisconsin either. I’ll admit, while I am thankful for clear roads, I do miss seeing the lights twinkling off the snow-covered lawns. I even saw a robin hanging out in the back yard last week. I don’t know whether that is a harbinger of a lack of winter or just a complete fluke.
