Coming in a little late today – my shenanigans of yesterday morning (up at 3:30 am to be the first one at the library books sale and then working the sale until 8:00 pm last night took its tole.) Holy smoked was I TIRED.
If you missed yesterdays pic – I actually set up a tent at the sale as a joke:
Today – I am back working the sale now until 8 pm tonight.. I feel a little more rested and ready to roll, but quickly taking a break to write this post.
We have more awesome peeps writing about banned books today!

Elle at The Erratic Project Junkie talks about when censorship backfires – right there in her own corner of the world. It is a great post!
Wesley at Library Educated (love that name!) rants about Why The Caged Bird Sings in a passionate way that will make you want to read the book!
Julia at Diary Of Word Nerd talks about Perks Of Being a Wallflower and a chance to win a gift card!
Kimberly at Truly Simply Pink talk about her favorite banned book and what The Huffington Post is saying this week.
Thats whats new. Please check out these great posts Banned book awareness is so important! I am off.. .I had better get back to that book sale 🙂
Glad you rested and wondering how long your sale goes on for! I hope it’s all very successful, for sure 🙂

Now off to check the other posts! Happy Book Sale & Banned Books Week! 😀
You’ve never heard of Allison Bechdel and you live in Minnesota??????? EEK girl. Do you remeber theAmazon Womens’ Bookstore in Minneapolis? Allison and I were members of its foundational co- op! Dykes to Watch Out For was a multi strip comic that is still rerun in feminist places. Amazon’s poster…and the infamous Heather Has Two Mommies ( talk about a banned book) were her illustrations.
Hey Sheila, considering the Of Mice and Men “contriversy”, have you heard about this “citizenship” protest in Denver?
Hope the sale is going well!
I hope the 3:30am start was worth it. We are talking books, so yes, I guess it would be.
I’ve been loving these posts! And…. so many new bloggers to start keeping up with 🙂 Always the danger of such things 🙂
Thanks for the auspicious writeup. It in truth was a amusement account it.
Glance complicated to more added agreeable from you! By the way,
how could we communicate?
Love the tent!!! Cracked me up!
I was recommended this website by my cousin. I’m not sure whether this post is written by him as nobody else
know such detailed about my trouble. You are incredible!
Thanks!
I blog quite often and I seriously appreciate your information. This great article
has truly peaked my interest. I’m going to take a note of your site and keep checking for new details about once per week.
I opted in for your RSS feed too.
Andy Reid has the potential in his lineup to create a team that finds
even more success than the Eagles of the
last decade. The team should be lucky to have such an opponent in week 3, for a game they couldn’t win would present serious challenges down the road.
Those who are ready for a change at quarterback aren’t ready for
a change in the quality of regular season play the Eagles have enjoyed
over the last decade.
What’s up colleagues, good post and fastidious urging commented at this place, I am genuinely enjoying by these.
Thanks for letting me participate this week Sheila! I’ve had a great time checking out everyone else’s posts and it was nice to vent about my own feelings on banned books. Hopefully the book sale was just as big a success on day 2!
