It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?

2a

Hey there!  Welcome to It’s Monday, What Are You Reading!

I love being a part of this and I hope you do too!  As part of this weekly meme I love to encourage you all to go and visit the others participating in this meme. Fair warning… this meme tends to add to your reading list! 😉

Hey all!  I have pretty much been off the radar for the last 4 days and left the blog and you Monday Meme joiners hanging.  My apologies 🙂  Wine and Words was on Friday and I started working on it at 6 am on Friday and went all the way to about 2:00 am Saturday morning then left for the North Shore with my son by 1:00 pm.  I came home about two hours ago.  It was a great event… a great relaxing weekend.. and now I hope to settle into a slower paced norm for a while… (at least until the book sale at the end of September).

You can find pictures of the Wine and Words event on the Wine and Words Facebook page.

I am reading, and I am flying through a few audio.  None of which I am going to post about as I want to get this posted so you can still link up as I am SUPER LATE.  And… I want to do laundry.  And start supper.  And maybe get back into that book I was reading this weekend.

So here is the link:

  1. So glad to hear that you event went well…AND you had a lovely, relaxing weekend, too!

Same here – one son returned to college, the other starts back at HS on Wednesday, and I am looking forward to getting back to a more normal routine!

Enjoy your books this week –

  2. Well, I was reading The Fifth Wave which did not deliver. I put it down because it was so poorly written and totally dull. It had potential but fell flat. I found myself thinking, “Was this written by a fifth grader?” I get that I am the intended audience but that did not factor into my enjoyment of The Maze Runner or The Hunger Games, both excellent reads. So, I picked up The Age of Miracles. And so far it is a breath if fresh air. I am sucked in!

  3. Taken In by Elizabeth Lynn Casey. Celebrating my 5th year of retirement as students went back to school today!

  4. Wine and Words sounds like a great event, and liked the pics over on the FB page. Looks like a nice venue… glad you had a nice weekend Sheila, and enjoy your evening.

Hmmmm... what do you think?
