Morning everyone. 🙂 I am at Camp Benedict this week, doing my thing as a board member. It has been beautiful this week so far, talk of rain possible for today and tomorrow but right now looking at a clear blue sky I am not seeing it.
YAY!
I have been helping with craft projects, lining up horse back riding, massages, a few pranks (* ok, really only one where I took another board members shower curtain). 😉
I have been reading a little :
My roommate, Camryn (from my YA review tab) also brought a few reading materials with her:

As I have been mentioning, it is audiobook month and I am hopeful that you have had a chance to check out the audio related posts that I have been putting up this month. Remember, we are having a giveaway this month:
Please watch this site for June audio book related posts. For every post you comment on in June that has this audio book symbol:
I will put you into a drawing for a $25 book certificate for each comment (Barnes and Noble or Amazon – your choice). Winner will be drawn in July.
Here are the posts that qualify that have gone up so far this month:

What are you reading today? What are you LISTENING to today?
I have been known for picking THE biggest thickest paperbacks since I read so fast…whether I know the author or not! In 91 when I went to Germany, I read everything I had brought (Colleen McCollough….BTBradford….) and needed a book for the plane back to the states and got a wonderful book on the Battle of Halifax…think MEGA mass market…(only english book in the bookstore)….was very good
Nice! I tend to choose smaller reads ( 300 – 400 pages) because I love variety… but for camp I brought one book. One. 700+ pages 😀
Did you get to listen to any audio as you drove to camp?! Long drives are too perfect for audio.
Normally yes, but this time I had Camryn in the car and I am in the middle of an audio so I did not listen. Sadly, that is one of the bummers of having someone else in the car. LOL…. such an introvert!
I have the same problem with my new carpool. We started a book together but I don’t think she’s as excited about it as I am.
My husband and I will listen to a whole book together on a long trip. It just sucks having to put my current one aside!
LOL…. it is funny that I prefer to drive alone for this reason 😛
I’ve realized I’m the same way. 🙂
Okay you can’t post a picture of a big book like that and not tell us what it is!!! Lol
hee hee…. its on my sidebar, City Of Heavenly Angels by Cassandra Claire. A long awaited read 😀
Ahh, I’m reading mobile at the moment. I really need to start that series myself!
I flew through the whole series last summer – one after another 😀
I’m not a fan of big books myself…unless it’s by Stephen King. I do make other exceptions if it’s something that looks really good. I loved Zoya by Danielle Steele and it’s over 500 pages.
I occasionally (Occasionally) like the challenge of a larger book… makes me feel accomplished 😛 I do not do too many of them though 🙂
My sister loves to buy chunksters – she says she gets more for her money that way.
That makes sense 😉 (*Pun intended) 😛 I love the look of them…. but really only do a few a year.
eReaders are good for big books — no so heavy!
since I have more time to listen than to read I try to do ‘big’ books on audio. Some of my ‘big’ book authors are George R.R. Martin, Diana Gabaldon, Philappa Gregory and Ken Follett
