Morning Meanderings… Book Expo HaNgOvEr

1aaaaaaaaaaaaa1

Good morning from….. Minnesota!  Yes, I am back.  I landed in Minneapolis yesterday evening and had a treacherous drive home through the storms and extreme rain.  Twice I pulled over because it was raining so hard I could not see the road.  There were cars pulled over everywhere.  Talk about your EXTREME driving.

Now I sit in the comforts of my own home chilling with my COFFEE and feel up and thinking about my day of catching up on some household things but mostly…. lying low. I am wiped out but not as wiped out as I have been in the past which is nice.  My feet do not hurt from all the walking around the expo and the streets of New York however I do think my shoe of choice today will be “flip-flop”.  😀

As you can see, Sammy is not about to let me get away any time soon. 😉

My agenda at least for part of the day – coffee, planning my agenda for the week, and back into my book The Three!

Also a few books came in while I was away:

Sheila DeChantal, Book Journey

Belly Up, MOUSEHEART, and The Search For Wondla are a win from Beth Fish Reads

Here and Again by Nicole R Dickson (audio)

The Collision Battle for Darracia by Michael Phillip Cash

Andi Under Pressure by Amanda Flower

The THREE by Sarah Lotz

Throughout this next week I will be posting Book Expo recaps so stay tuned 🙂  I am also still adding posts to Armchair BEA.  This afternoon I plan to be giving Book Journey a bit of a facelift… I came up with some ideas at the expo and am excited to get started.  I am not sure all what I will be doing, but my hope is that the final look will be fresh and professional looking.  Feel free to peek 😉

  1. I’m always planning to attend BEA, for three years now I haven’t been able to sneak away from work. ugh… Someday I will get there.

Have you started making blog changes? I don’t remember your blog being white. I JUST posted about the blogging class I completed a few weeks ago, with tips. One of the book blogs I used for homework hasn’t updated their profile since 2010! They note this in the opening sentence. HA.

Can’t wait to read your BEA posts. I’m sitting for the first time in days. recovering from dinner for 50…

  2. Have been enjoying everyone’s BEA posts (I didn’t sign up, but I have been following). Looking forward to your review of The Three. and…I think I’m falling in love with Sammy.

  3. Hi Sheila…it was so great to finally get to meet you in person!!! Thank you again for all your help/tips before BEA…they were definitely much appreciated! I just got home this morning and am doing much the same – trying to organize for the week and sort out all my books. My box from Harper was already here when I got home! I have 2 dogs and they haven’t left my side since I walked in the door…

Hope you have a nice, relaxing day!!! Can’t wait to see what changes you make to your blog!

  4. Though tiring and hectic, it sounds like you had a great experience. With that said, sometimes it is good to be home.

Looking forward to your upcoming posts on the expo.

  5. awww about the puppy and BEA sounds like so much fun. I need to go one day. I was at the Javits center last month for the car show, so there’s no reason not to go for the books and authors.

  6. It was SO great to lunch with you on Friday! My favorite thing about APAC and BEA week is meeting people in person that I’ve gotten to know online.
My dog has the exact same expression on her face. She is not letting me out of her sight.
Can’t wait to hear what you think of Here and Again.
And be sure to share Belly Up with your favorite 5th grader – they will love it.

  7. Glad you made it home safe and sound….it seems like BEA was super fast this year. I can’t wait to hear all about BEA. Btw had to do a double take because I thought I was on the wrong blog love the white and can’t wait to see what you come up with

Hmmmm... what do you think?
