Morning Meanderings…Books, Sun, BEA, and Sunday!

1aaaaaaaaaaaaa1

Happy Sunday!  It looks like it will be a BEAUTIFUL day here in central Minnesota.  Oh…. did I inadvertently mention BEA?

I know… I know… I have used this before for the Book Expo Of America (BEA) but… it’s “punny”.  I have too. 😉

The book expo will put me in New York a week from Tuesday and I am super excited!  This will be my 5th year attending.  It is always exciting to meet up with some of the other book bloggers, authors, and publishing houses.  As usual I feel utterly disorganized.. I have not even started planning out my week…

I will talk more about the Expo as the week goes on…

In bookish news… here is what entered my home this week:

1b

The Girls At The Kingfisher Club by Genevieve Valentine

Shovel Ready by Adam Sternbergh

Think Like A Freak by Steven Levitt and Stephen Dubner

The Secret Hum Of A Daisy by Tracy Holczer

Those Who Wish Me Dead by Michael Koryta

Season Of The Dragon Fly by Sarah Creech (2 copies)

Don’t Try To Find Me by Holly Brown

This is two weeks worth of books as last weekend we were at College Sons graduation.  Looks like I have some good reading ahead… and quite possible in the sun this afternoon!

What are you doing with your Sunday?  Any books today?

  1. I’m looking forward to seeing you at BEA again!

  2. justpeachy36

I will be reading To Scotland with Love today, a book by Patience Griffith about love, family and finding your place in the world.

  3. I’ll be reading some and sewing some. I have The Secret Hum of a Daisy on my TBR list. Hope you enjoy your Sunday. Off to have breakfast with friends.

  4. That little video is EXACTLY how I feel today. It really is BEAutiful in Minnesota this weekend. I’m excited to see you at BEA again!

  5. I’m going to BEA – it’s my first time!!! Can’t wait and hope to meet you there!!!

  6. Finished Kendal Lyn’s Board Stiff this morning and knee deep into Debbie Morgan’s Weedless Widow. Also on the last pages of the Little Women series. Taking a break because as much as I love Alcott, I’d forgotten just how plodding ( and preachy) Little Men is

  7. I am a tiny bit jealous of anyone going to BEA. I really must plan for this better, financially and everything else!
I’m reading today too, as soon as I’m done visiting blogs! I’m in the middle of The Book of You, debut thriller from Claire Kendal, it’s very good! Enjoy your day!!

  8. I have the Freak book too and am looking forward to it! Nice books in your box this week!

  9. Nice stack of books.

I too can’t believe the BEA is next week, and I haven’t planned either. 🙂

    Hope to see you, Sheila.

    • I think I work better without a plan – then I feel anxious about where I need to be… I really prefer to go with the flow 🙂 I see so much that way! I am sure our paths will cross.

  10. I hope to see you at BEA! This will be my second year. I am really excited!!

  11. Sheila have fun at BEA…isn’t BEA in NYC next year? I thought 2016 it moved. Oh no I hope it’s not next year that it’s in Chicago.

  12. spent the day with new release Mark of Distinction audiobook – book 2 of Jessica Dotta’s gothic series Price of Privilege.

glad to have armchair bea ! and glad you’re close enough to enjoy it Live !

  13. I guess I will see you in 2016 for the Chicago BEA. I have another Michael Koryta book around here somewhere, just need to find it.
