Ha! As I read the title of this post I have to laugh. Or wince maybe… I am not cancelling Morning Meanderings although by the looks of Brainerd right now, I could…. I could cancel everything…. hope, joy… they are just a LARGE shovel of snow away.
GAH.
😯
We were hit yesterday afternoon with yet another snow storm. My Bunco fun was cancelled… today schools again are closed… I think this is the 5th or 6th time that schools have been closed this season due to either extreme cold or extreme snow. I don’t remember there ever being a year like this before. POO.

I am supposed to be all the way across town and looking at camp applications at noon today. I am still debating if I am going to make the trek or once again have to postpone. We had this same meeting set up for this past Monday but once again the snow came in and caused poor driving conditions.
Have I mentioned lately that I am SOOOOOO over winter?
Today may just be a stay in, do a little reading, a little house work, website work for Wine and Words, and yes yes… the treadmill.
What is everyone else doing with their Friday?

What state do you live in? I cannot believe the amounts of snow that some parts of the country have gotten. I am in So Cal and it’s nice here but I sure wish we had some rain. We are supposed to get some next week but not nearly enough to put a dent in the drought we’ve been hit with.
I don’t know you function with that pile of snow all around you!
I am in Minnesota, its been a heck of a winter. 😦
I,too, live in Minnesota. The snow does look pretty on the trees, but that’s about it. At least I have a stack of books waiting.
I have books too and plenty of other projects I could be working on… just annoying 😀
Okay. I thought it was bad in VA – no! I hope you find your way out of the snow or enjoy staying inside.
I am leaning towards the staying inside. I am always frustrated when I am so busy I can not get basic household things completed, this may be my snowy window of opportunity. 😛
We had two storms in a row, but no new precipitation today. I wonder if your storm is headed this way… I don’t think it is supposed to snow, but then they didn’t really predict the other two storms that well. I couldn’t even tell you how many times school has been cancelled here. Twice just this week alone.
It is so old 🙂 I want spring!
Ugh, I’m slightly envious. It’s just been raining here in WI (and an absurd thuder-hail bout yesterday). If only my work would be cancelled due to snow this winter, but Madison snow plows are kicking butt this winter. So my Friday is consisting of reading blogs at work, but later tonight I have some friends coming over for Catan: Cities and Knights. Should be fun.
You know I now have to look up Catan: Cities and Knights…. is it cards? Is it a game? 🙂
It’s pretty much the best board game. Specifically, Cities and knights is an expansion of Settlers of Catan. It is a kind of a trading and building settlements game that gets super competitive. You should definitely check it out!
We are finishing up school break and it’s been pretty dismal! Yesterday was beautiful but all the outdoor things are mostly still closed for winter. Today the kids were going to try a ski lesson but it is raining/icing so we skipped. My husband took them to an indoor trampoline park, but at 10:15 am the next jump time was 7:30 PM! They went to indoor minigolf instead. We usually go to Florida for this break but didn’t this year. The only good thing is that the kids are so bored they can’t wait to go back to school!! Even the snow has been hard and not nice to play in. 😦 My front yard looks like yours. We haven’t gotten mail in ages as they can’t get to the mailboxes either. I am very thankful for a safe car and a warm house!!!
I love the idea of indoor trampoline parks.. I seriously love trampolines. 😀 Stay warm!
I would not enjoy living there! Sorry you have to endure so much snow, when other parts of the country only have to worry about drought and earthquakes….LOL.
LOL…. yeah I know there are worse things than snow. 😛
What a pain! Don’t laugh but I think the kids here have missed 7 days of school because of the weather. I am over winter too.
I have to admit I giggled a little…. (I seen your snow pictures) 😆
I feel for you I really do about the snow, but umm you can keep it. 🙂 I live in Missouri and even we have had a colder and more snowier winter than we have had in a long time and I don’t like it! I am sooooo ready for spring!!! 🙂 Hope you make it out of that snow and it gives you all a break. 🙂
I am ready for spring too…. I want to sit on the deck, I want to run outside, I want to bike!!!
I don’t know which is worse, all the snow and cold or the horrendous floods and storms we’ve had over in the UK. Either way, I guess they’re both bad for the people affected.
Yours sounds worse – floods are scary, are roads are bad but if you are careful they are manageable. Stay safe 🙂
Thanks, you too 🙂
Our snow is all melted!! 🙂 And I’m just going to ignore the fact that the temperature is supposed to plummet again next week.
Oh bummer… that wuld bother me if it was gone and it came back. 😯
Friday was our yesterday here in Sydney Australia and yesterday was a beautiful day. My hubby and I had no specific plans so we hopped on a bus for the 10 minute ride into the city centre. We had coffee in one of the most beautiful buildings in our city, the Queen Victoria building (QVB) and then we walked through town to my favorite book store Dymocks for reading inspiration and I found four book titles to add to my TBR list. Here’s my choices: Gertrude by Hassan Najmi, The One Hundred Year old Man Who Climbed Out the Window by Jonas Jonasson, The Truth by Michael Palin and The Writing Class by Stephanie Johnson. I hope the weather in your part of the world eases up. I follow your blog via the rss feed and enjoy your blog posts. The positive energy that you share with your readers is fabulous. Keep up the good work. Thank you.
Ahhh… love the titles. Visits to book stores are so awesome 😉
Don’t hit me with a snow shovel, but I wish I lived where it snows. I really really miss it, and never did mind the shoveling etc…of course I was a few years younger then.
I have come to the point where I can tolerate snow, but this… this is just annoying. 😀
I feel ya Sheila.
Our winter has been so bad this year that we are sure to have flooding in the spring around the city. I am so over winter already. Too bad it’s not feeling the same way.
Ugh… I feel for you 😦
Blech. I am over winter too and now we have flod warnings. The weather is so crazy this year.
It is… last year we hardly had a spring and then a short summer… I really wanted 2014 to make all that sun up to me 🙂
We have snow here in Western Canada but you have more there. February is so blah. Can’t wait till spring!
