Good morning! Thursday already…. honestly I don’t know where the week went. I have had something going on every night this week and it seems like I have run from the house in the morning, to home in the late afternoon, to errands, to evening commitments, to home in the later evening….
only to do it all again the next day.
Tonight though is a free space and I am looking forward to it! I am once again in need of an unwind day and this should be it. 😀
On Monday I went in for a little trim on my hair. It was a little longer than shoulder length and I told my stylist who has cut my hair forever (seriously…. I think it has been like 14 years!) that I was feeling radical and I needed a change. I gave her free rein to do as she will…
and she did:
Mmmmm hmmmmm. When she took that first cut of more than the “radical” one inch I was thinking, I thought… “Ok, let’s do this.” So yes, currently my hair is a bit shorter than I wanted but my hair grows fast and in about 5 weeks I should be happy. 😀
I don’t hate it. It’s just really REALLY short.
Really short.
Really.
Around here in books I am making progress on Forgotten Road. In audio One Second After has made me cry twice and really think about how much we (yes, you too!) rely on electricity to do life. In my car I am listening to Mad River by John Sanford and holy smokes Kathy, you were right.. good… but wow.
So that’s my update. What are you reading/listening to today?
I always thought you look good with short hair!
Ahhhhh, so kind as always Laura. *drinks coffee and smiles*
I think your hair is adorable – I’d wear mine like that if I could.
Thanks Kathy. 🙂
I **LOVE** your hair! I got a haircut yesterday too but I was too chicken to cut off as much as I should have! :–)
Jill, I should have spoke up and told her my definition of radical, but I did want change and well… there it is. 😛
I think your new cut is darling! I know what you mean…every night this week has been busy for me so I am looking forward to Friday night! To go out for dinner or stay in…that is the question!
I have tonight and then tomorrow we have dinner plans, Saturday I have my gun permit train all day and then we have a birthday dinner at night. Life… is BUSY. 😀
It looks good on you, Sheila 🙂
Thanks Mary!
It looks good! The hair stylists must get tired of doing the same trims over and over, kind of like if we were told we could choose any book but only from the same genre all the time! 😉
Good point Laurie 😀
It’s adorable! It suits you….
Hope your day is better….less frenetic. Enjoy the “radical” new you.
Thanks Laurel, it is a chill evening 😀
It looks great…as though you can spritz it ruffle it up and run out the door! Anything in the middle is way too much work! I am going in the other direction and growing a Katniss braid!
True, it is pretty easy… yay for the Katniss braid! I want to see that!
Oh I love it! I think it’s perfect on you! Very sassy 🙂
Thanks 😀
Looks great! I know exactly what you mean about events/activities all the time. Hope you enjoy your night off!
Thanks, I am sitting back with a little tv, a book next and a cold beverage 😀
I love it! The same thing happened to me a month ago. I let my hair get really long and went in for a shoulder-length cut. I came out with a chin-length one. After a week, I loved it and now five weeks later, I am ready to get it cut again!
Have a good weekend!

Thats what will probably happen here too Rebecca 😀
I like your short hair! It’s a cute style. I let my hairdresser take a little extra off and it’s always shorter than I envisioned. But it’s great because it only takes minutes to style in the morning. Although… I usually do the ‘cut off some extra hair’ thing in the summer when my ears won’t get so cold! lol
I just keep reminding myself.. it will grow 😀
I’m really jealous of your curls 🙂 My hair is straight as a ruler, I’m pretty sure you could cut lines based on the straightness of my hair, lol. I think your new cut is cute! And like you said, it’ll grow out quickly so you’ll have a change soon anyway!
I am always jealous of people with straight hair…. i have to work hard to make my hair do that. 😀
Your haIr looks wonderful!!
Thanks Kim 🙂
I love it!
Thanks 😀
Loving your new look. So easy to get stuck in a rut, I changed my hair style a few years ago after having the same style since my high school days.
Your “really short” is my goals for growing my hair out! It is all a matter of perspective!
Sheila, I love it-I think you have great curls and it really frames your face nicely. I understand about thinking where did my hair go.
