A quiet Saturday! Just what I wanted and needed! A day to catch up on some reading, a little bit of working out and a couple of reviews.
Isn’t it weird what a difference a week can make? Last week at this time I was exhausted and at a Women’s Retreat… which really sounds like an oxymoron right? I mean the words “women’s retreat” brings up visions of relaxation and down time and girl chats….
and it was all that – but I went into it wrong. I had a hugely busy week last week and by the time I arrived at the women’s retreat on Friday evening, stick a fork in me… I was done. 😯
Don’t get me wrong – it was a lovely time.. I was just tired. I had a chance to chat with some friends and make a few new ones.

All in all the retreat was fun! We ended the second night with a purse action. Throughout the retreat you could earn “dollars” to bid on purses. I did not win a purse but t was a lot of fun to watch people go a little crazy over the purses!
These pics are my contribution to the fabulous Alyce’s Saturday Snapshots. Pop over and see what others have taken pictures of. 😀
Have a fab morning – I am going to make an egg white omelet while listening to the end of an audio book. Later I am back with my February recap and possibly later yet (to get myself on track) a review.

It looks like y’all had a lot of fun!
We did Kathy, I wish I had been more rested going in! They had a rock climbing wall and a zipline and I missed out on both!
Yes, it looks like everyone had a ball!
We did…. I hope they use the same place next year 😀
Glad you had a good time. Have a great Saturday.
Thanks Nise – yes, I have some easy things planned for the day 🙂
Looks like a great way to spend a weekend. And that fireplace..wow!
They wanted us to see the fireplace Lisa as they said it was one of the best in Minnesota. It was pretty awesome.
Wow, that fireplace looks massive. Glad you had a good time, purseless or not. 🙂
Thanks Kaye 🙂
You go to the best retreats! They look so awesome…and you’ve given us great shots.
That egg white omelet sounds good…hmm. My granddaughter Fiona is here for a sleepover, Maybe I can convince her to head to Mimi’s with me. They have the best egg white omelets!
Thanks for sharing…and here’s MY SATURDAY SNAPSHOT
It was the first time they had the retreat there Laurel, and I admit I was surprised how nice it was!
Love egg white omelets – I will it with spinach and mushroom and a little cheese…. hopefully that motivates me for the Zumba class this morning!
Glad you and a good time. It sure looks like fun. I would have been in front of that fireplace for sure! Nave a good day Sheila!
Dalene, I was in front of that fireplace! 😀 I sat there the whole purse auction! 😀
I love that first fireplace–so cozy!
I loved it too… that was where I sat! 😀
I have had one of those weeks this week, continuing through today – with swimming lessons for my son and visits to my brother-in-law’s house followed by a birthday party at my sister’s house to look forward to. I know I will have fun, but I’m tired. Thankfully tomorrow will be more restful – my boys are going to take me out for lunch after church and then home to kick up my feet. I’m so looking forward to it.
I hate it when life is so busy that even the fun stuff feels like a commitment Alyce 🙂 Thankfully this week was pretty laid back and I am starting to feel like my old self again – and even energy to do stuff I want to do! Like hit the gym and read!
Looks like a fun time by all:)
It was Diane, the girls that put this together did a wonderful job!
It sure looks like fun but I know what you mean about tired. Sometimes it takes a few days of ‘nothing’ to be able to relax again.
Thats the way I am wired Leslie – I need to back away from everything to recharge… I need a break every three or four days 😀
What a great place to have a retreat!! I love that fireplace!
It was pretty sweet Vicki 🙂
Love the idea of a retreat … dedicated time to one purpose with new friends in the mix!
Yes… it is a nice idea… I enjoyed it, could have used more time to chat with the girls but there is always next year 🙂
What a great place for a retreat. Amazing fireplace!
It was cool to actually stay there Mary – I knew of the camp but had no idea it was so nice… when you hear the word camp, you dont think nice and cozy….LOL, at least I dont 😀
awesome photos!
Here is my Saturday
Snapshot post!
Thanks 😀
You’re right that a retreat does take some internal planning before you jump into it. Glad you had fun anyway.
