Welcome to It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!
I love being a part of this and I hope you do too! As part of this weekly meme I love to encourage you all to go and visit the others participating in this meme. I offer a weekly contest for those who visit 10 or more of the Monday Meme participants and leave a comment telling me how many you visited. **You do not have to have a blog to participate! You receive one entry for every 10 comments, just come back here and tell me how many in the comment area.

What a crazy week! Between work, working out, evening commitments Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday…. I hardly read a thing and almost came before you with a goose egg today…
But… yesterday saved the day and I did finish an audio that I have been working on for a couple of weeks so here is the week of accomplishments (or lack there of):
Awesome video: Sh** Book Bloggers Say (a must see!)
No Comment. YES! Comment!!! (the importance of commenting as part of Reagan’s BBRAW)
11-22-63 by Stephen King (a remarkable read – do not miss this one!)
The Eyre Report #1 (my first update to the Jane Eyre self read a long 😀 )
So ummm… yeah. Thats it. I am reading a couple of books still from last week and have some plans for this week so hopefully back on track.
Sara Beth Riley never dreamt she’d walk straight out of her life. Actually she’d never dreamt a lot of things that had happened this year … From being kidnapped by her own best friend, to throwing her wedding rings into the Hudson River, to calling an old love in France, to getting inked with said best friend, painting the passionate constellation of these choices into permanence. But mostly, she could never have dreamt what started it all. How could it be that her mother’s unexpected death, and the grief which lingered painfully long, turned her into the woman she was finally meant to become?
Sara Beth’s escape begins a summer of change – of herself, of marriage, of the lives of those around her. In a story that moves from Manhattan to the sea to a quaint New England town, Whole Latte Life looks at friends we never forget, at decisions we linger with, at our attempts to live the lives we love.
OOH sounds good!
Sports agent Myron Bolitar is poised on the edge of the big time. So is Christian Steele, a rookie quarterback and Myron’s prized client. But when Christian gets a phone call from a former girlfriend, a woman who everyone, including the police, believes is dead, the deal starts to go sour. Trying to unravel the truth about a family’s tragedy, a woman’s secret, and a man’s lies, Myron is up against the dark side of his business—where image and talent make you rich, but the truth can get you killed.
I love Coben!
Everyone in town thinks Meg is volatile and dull-witted and that her younger brother Charles Wallace is dumb. People are also saying that their father has run off and left their brilliant scientist mother. Spurred on by these rumors, Meg and Charles Wallace, along with their new friend Calvin, embark on a perilous quest through space to find their father. In doing so they must travel behind the shadow of an evil power that is darkening the cosmos, one planet at a time.
Never read it… but look forward to it. This review will come with fun giveaways!
That’s it… keeping it light this week and I have a few to catch up on from last week including my book club read due this Tuesday!
I am looking forward to seeing what you are reading! Add your What Are You Reading post to the linky below and I will try to stop by! 😀

You’ve never read A Wrinkle in Time?? I’m so glad you’re going to get to read it! It’s one of my favorites. Enjoy 🙂
Never have… I am missing out right Lu? 😀
Well I managed the goose egg instead of you LOL. Whole Latte Life sounds pretty good, I’ll be interested to see what you think. I’m off to check out some of your other posts that have caught my eye!
Happy reading 🙂
Sheree, a goose egg huh? We could have made omelets!!! 😀
I’ve been meaning to re-read A Wrinkle in Time for the last year and a half and all these 50th anniversary edition reviews are making me want to get on that asap.
Get it! Get it now Alita 😀 I think it takes me fifty years to read a classic…LOL… I didn’t read To Kill A Mockingbird until the 50th anniversary… 😀
A local bookstore had a big Wrinkle in Time celebration that I wanted to go to, but I didn’t make it. I re-read it a few years ago. I don’t think I enjoyed it as much this time around as I did when I was younger, but it’s still a good read. Hope you enjoy!
Thanks Jen 😀
I think you will like A Wrinkle in Time. I know I did. In fact, I think I have read everything L’Engle wrote at least once and some of them many times. If I can ever catch up on my review books, I plan to re-read Wrinkle this year.
I think I will like it too Kathy – I have built up an appreciation for many of these older titles.
I know I read A Wrinkle in Time when I was a kid, but I bought the series recently and intend on reading the whole thing eventually. Hopefully I’ll have time for it sometime this year!!!
😯
There is a series Crystal????
LOL
seriously though…. is it a series?
😯
LOL – yes, there are five books total, starting with Wrinkle 🙂 It looks like it somewhat overlaps with another series as well, which I didn’t know until just now…
http://www.goodreads.com/series/49403-time
Thanks for the link Crystal!
I haven’t read A Wrinkle in Time since I was in primary school, I think it was one of the very first science fiction books I read.
Have a great reading week!
Shelleyrae @ Book’d Out
I hear it is compared to Harry Potter and that has peaked my interest 😀
A Wrinkle in Time new to me as well. Await your review!
I am excited to experience it.
Love the sound of Whole Latte and A Wrinkle in Time. I’ll be watching for your reviews.
I read a Coben a few years back. Maybe I should try him again. I have one or two of his books on my shelves. — Have to find time which is hard with so many good books to read!
Hope this is a good week for you!
He is an awesome author. I have for the most part avoided these Myron Bolitar ones as they are a series with the same guy…. but I am trying them now and finding them fun.
Some great reads coming up. I love the cover of Whole Latte Life. Coben is on my list to try this year.
You will love Coben. He is one of my favorite authors.
Whole Latte is on my shelf to read for the blog tour. I hope you are enjoying the Myron Bolitar series!!
HI Lori! 😀 Ugh… hate the word “series” hee hee! I am dabbling a bit… 😀
I’m going to read A Wrinkle In Time one of these days. Hope you have a great week.
You should Ryan, in fact I am surprised you have not already! 😀
Great reads you’ve got here! I’ve never got around to reading A Wrinkle in Time! I need to read it!
You do…. its fifty years old! 😀 Must read!!!
Haha! Indeed! I will get to it 🙂
YAY!!!
That cover for Whole Latte Life looks delicious!
Oh that is what drew me in Jill!
Awesome reads! I added my link to the list. However the first time I added it the link got put in wrong 😦 Sorry that it is on there twice.
Sara @ upon a love story
LOL – no problem Sara! 😀
Hi again Sheila – thought I’d better come back now to tell you I visited 21 tonight. Knowing how my week goes that may be it and I might not get back here to post later. 🙂
Thanks Martha – I hope to get around to many this week too… I have my book club book to read tonight for tomorrows meeting… gah!!!
I read a Wrinkle in Time recently, for the first time! I think it’s quite scary, well creepy anyway. And there are a few books in the series. I found the book unsettling, and some images and characters I will not forget (in a nightmare kind of way!) I’ll stick with The Narnia Chrionicles for otherworldly reading! xx
I am just hearing about this series think Wendy…. I thought it was a stand alone book.
Can’t believe I still haven’t read A wrinkle in time though I loved the movie as a kid! I can’t wait to read your review!
OOH – read it!!!!
We’re at another week with no book finished – it’s beginning to be a trend over my way. Oh well – at least I’m reading.
My Tuesday Teacher up ups over at Rabid Reader . Even though I didn’t get a lot read, I enjoyed what I read. 🙂
Hope you are well, and for god’s sake, be careful out there! 😉
Yes, read as you can… life happens…. believe me… I know! 😀
I haven’t read A Wrinkle in Time, either…it looks good. This week, I’m also reading Whole Latte Life. Enjoy your reads!
Thanks Laurel – I am on tour for this one too but ugh… need to look up the date again!
I’m planning to reread A Wrinkle in Time, though I probably won’t get to it until next week. I’m so excited, though, to read it for the first time in more than 20 years.
I am glad you are reading it again!
Don’t sweat it – we all have weeks like that!
I know… but the book piles Kathy….. the PILES! (They are looking accusingly at me….) 😛
Now that is another way to read the classics – only on their 50th birthdays!
Exactly 😀
I am having a pretty good start to the week! I hope you enjoy all of your reads too! The Whole Latte Life cover is making me want a Latte lol. Happy Reading! 🙂
PS-visited about 10 blogs this morning!
Its a book I want to read in a coffee shop Melissa 😀
Whole Latte Life sounds really good. I’ve been wanting to start the Harlen Coban series, but I haven’t yet. Have a great week!
Harlan just rocks! Have you read any of his Yvonne? I have read most of them but not this series….
I’m so glad I found your blog. I’ve never read A Wrinkle In Time either. I’ve been reviewing for years and years but recently started my blog and am having a tough time finding other blogs to follow who read across genres. I’m a huge audio fan and read tons of eclectic stuff and am off to visit the Monday Blog Hop participants.
LaurieS @ Fetch Me My Faintng Couch
OOH audio fan???? Then welcome Laurie! And my genre choices are all over the board! 😀
I love the cover of Whole Latte Life! Happy reading!
Me too… I want to drink it. 😀
A Wrinkle In Time is one of my all time favorite children’s books. How did you miss that one? I read it back when it was newish. lol It was the book that sparked my love of science fiction. (That and Star Trek but I digress).
I have Whole Latte Life too but it’s further down in my reading pile.
I have no idea how I missed it! I started with Hardy Boys, yes, Hardy Boys (I was such a tom boy!) then Nancy Drew and then the Little House On The Prairie Books…. 😀
A Wrinkle in Time has been mentioned a lot recently, I haven’t read it either.
I received a promotion on it for the 50th and thought it was a great time to read it 😀
I love Coban’s Bolitar series. Have a great reading week.
Thanks Nise… I hope too 🙂
I hope you enjoy A Wrinkle in Time. I loved it when I read it back in junior high school.
I am looking forward to it! 😀
Very busy week here, too, Sheila!
Have you really NEVER read A Wrinkle in Time?? Wow. I posted an homage to it last week – it’s my favorite book!
http://greatbooksforkidsandteens.blogspot.com/2012/02/happy-anniversary-to-my-favorite-book.html
Enjoy your books this week, especially that one!!
Sue
I will have to read your post – sounds like some big words from a great reader like you! 😀 Now I am super excited to start it!
Sorry that you weren’t able to get much reading done this week. I have been rather busy too! And due to craziness I again lost my spot 31 but I still made it into the thirtys! Not n much of a commenty mood so I only got around to about ten or fifteen blogs of other peoples.
Someday that 31 will be yours again 😀 I am going to try to get through the posts this week – maybe 20 a day or something 😉
I’ll have to try to get through more this week too! And yes someday I will regain 31!
I can’t believe you have never read A Wrinkle in Time! It is one of my all time favorites!
I got to comment on 20 blogs.
I know.. I know… but I will read it… I will 😀
Hi Shelleyrae . It’s been awhile since I last participated . I am following you on linky . Please follow back ? 😦 Anyhow , I wonder how come it doesn’t show up properly on wordpress ? I stuck a linky follow widget on my wordpress blog and it does the same thing . I hate that .
Ok got to comment on at least 20 blogs but I think I’m done for the week!
Nice! nI hope to get more time later but it is not looking good…. gah!
I bought A Wrinkle in Time just after the new edition came out because it’s one of those books I’ve always meant to read. I need to make sure I get to that one soon.
I hope to yet this week… 😀
By the way! I’ve commented on 32 pages! Please enter me into the drawing 🙂
Nice job!
