Morning Meanderings…. Bueller. Bueller. Bueller.

Good morning.  😀

Did you all watch the game on Sunday?  I didn’t… not really.  I was supposed to go to a friend’s house and instead got caught up in cleaning a spare room that needed attention and after tearing that all up… well I had to big of a mess to leave.  😀 It was on the tv in the other room… and I watched the half time show and a few commercials… which really is what I enjoy most about the Super Bowl.

Which brings me to my point.  I being an 80’s chick…. LOVED 80’s movies.  AND if you have never had the opportunity to watch Ferris Bueller’s Day Off get to your last standing video store (they will be thrilled you did!) or Netflix and rent this classic 80’s movie.  You will thank me.  😀

One of the Super Bowl commercials was a spoof off this 80’s movie and I LOVED it and laughed because I knew “Ferris” then… and I know Mathew Broderick now (well… know of him… not like I know him like we chat on-line or car pool).  As always I find the Super Bowl commercials BRILLIANT (not all… but some) and this one… well…. ROCKS.

LOL… I may need to watch Ferris Bueller’s Day Off some day soon… LOVED that movie!

In book news, SPIN releases today and my super plan was to have my review go up today as well…. but thats not going to happen.  I am reading it … .but not done yet. 😀

Today I work and then tonight I have a two hour work out session with my friends Amanda and Christie (Wendy if you are out there… care to join us?  😀 )

  1. That was a great commercial and now I want to watch Ferris Bueller… again! I usually catch up with the best ones online the next day because I can’t sit still and watch an entire Superbowl. I was cleaning the junk out of my old desk during the first half and caught a few good commercials when my husband would yell that one was on.

A two hour workout? Yikes. I’ve been slacking with my 30 min walks. Have a great day.

  2. I had to watch the game because we were invited to my inlaws’ & in order to visit with them game-watching was mandatory 🙂 It was boring though. I did like the Ferris Bueller commercial and some of the other ones too. The commercials are always the best part!

  3. Oh, I loved that movie…we watched it over and over. Two of my kids were teens, then, so I got to enjoy with them several of these flicks.

Another one I watched with Matthew Broderick was Max Dugan Returns, with Jason Robards and Marsha Mason. That one got quite a workout, too!

We had the VHS version, and now I have the DVD. I don’t have Bueller, though.

When we saw it in the theater (Bueller), we especially enjoyed that after the movie seemed over, there were still a few “peeks” from the characters.

I miss video stores! So I keep buying from Amazon…lol

    1. I never watched Max Dugan… sounds like I should 😀

I went to the theater for Ferris too… I actually won tickets to the pre showing and had no idea what I had won tickets too but went to check it out. SO glad I did!

  4. I’m a big football fan so I watched the game and it was such a good evenly-matched contest that we loved every minute of it. Our teams weren’t in it, so I didn’t chew my nails down. I like the commercials with animals in them but otherwise sometimes I think I’ve lost my sense of humor. I loved the one with the overweight dog who couldn’t get out through his doggie door to chase cars.

  5. The M&M commercial was really cute, but it was on at the beginning so you might’ve missed it. I liked the Bueller one, too, but I wonder how many people didn’t get it.

  6. I watched Inside Story last night on the Bio channel. It was a behind-the-scenes look at the filming of Ferris Bueller. It was really good! You should see if they are showing it again. They interviewed all the actors and actresses, editors, producers, etc.

  7. I saw this commercial and am a huge fan of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off!! I’ve watched it oh so many times and it’s charm is just as strong now as it was then! “How can I be expected to go to school/work on a day like this…..” (Cue music! 😉 Love it!!

Hmmmm... what do you think?
