Good morning. 😀
The weekend was so busy and Monday I had work and meetings and Tuesday I had work and dinner with friends. Really, I feel wiped out this morning and today is another big day.
Anyway… in bookish news, the Goodreads awards have been posted and I was so excited to see that! This is a great selection of books… and totally gift worthy!

Out of these I have read Bossy Pants, Little Princes, and Where She Went. WHAT I still hope to read soon out of this list is: Divergent (won in two categories!!!), IQ84, 11/22/63, Graveminder, and City Of Fallen Angels.
How about you, have you read any of these? Are there any you want to?
6 week Calorie challenge update: 1,000 calories burned /out of the 20,000 goal… 19,000 to go. I need to step it up! 😛
I have to be honest and say I am not impressed. I am interested in the memoir and food book though. Maybe Steve Jobs also.
I forgot about the announcements, thanks for posting.
I think these were based on Goodreads readers votes… 😀 I voted for Bossypants (it was funny!) but my other pics did not win…. 😀
Wow, I’ve only read one I think! And, to me, they all look so good, I’ve got to get reading!! 🙂
LOL – I did not score high on the “what I have read” scale either 😀
I must be really bad, none of these were my picks or are on my wish or reading lists 🙂
I’m with you, Lori….
I have been wanting to read Divergent because i have heard such good things about it – winning in two categories intrigues me too 😀
If you like Hunger Games, you’ll like Divergent. Great plot. I loved Little Princes.
I think I may try Stephen King, even though I gave him up in high school after being scared out of my britches. This book of his sounds different.
OOH – cant wait Heidi!
I’ve read and loved The Paris Wife, and have the Stephen King book on my stacks. I’ve read several of the Stephanie Plum series, but not that one…yet.
I wouldn’t mind checking a few of these out, but many of them do not interest me.
Thanks for sharing.
I want to try that Steve Jobs book … I am curious about him 🙂
I’ve read Divergent, Smokin’ Seventeen, ShadowFever (audio is fantastic), and Where She Went, I followed Matt Logein’s story on his blog, want to read the book. There are a few I want to read.
Shadowfever on audio you say? Hmmmm…..
I haven’t read a single one of those books! Quite a few of them are on my wish list though.
I think it is fun to see what people are saying is the best of the year 😀
I haven’t read any of’em but that isn’t surprising since I have only begun book blogging . Admittingly ,I’m not an avid reader
I read all over the board Jackie so lists like this of various genres intrigues me 😀
I haven’t read ANY! Whoa… guess I better step my game up!
LOL – I see a few good ones on there 😀
I read Graveminder and City of Fallen Angels. There are a few others on the list I would like to read – like 11/22/63.
All three you mentioned are on my TBR wish list 🙂
The only one I attempted was The Paris Wife – I didn’t finish it. (meaning I didn’t like it enough to want to finish it)
I have heard some mixed thoughts on that one Care, enough for me to not pursue it.
It’s an ok list. It began to confuse me, but then I realized that it is very much a popularity contest, or bestsellers list, which doesn’t necessarily show the best of. I love Janet Evanovich and Gweneth Paltrow, don’t get me wrong, but I certainly don’t think they were the BEST in their categories.
All that said, this is why I love all the lists bloggers come up with – proof that no two are the same. Everyone has different tastes and opinions.
Exactly Alison! There are some on the list I too would like to read but I agree with you, some of the category winners surprised me.
