Good morning!
Current temperature in Minnesota….
I am leaving here shortly to drive 2 1/2 hours to put on a prom dress and then plunge into the water with my team the Snow Queens to raise money for Special Olympics.
Yup…
today should be interesting.
I think on my way home I get to treat myself to a book store stop.ย ๐
As for my picture today for Alyce’s Saturday Snapshot…here is a fun one from last February.ย Al (hubby) and I were at an equipment auction in Florida.ย We had been there ALL DAY walking and walking and walking looking at equipment for our business.ย I was trying hard to be a team player but I was exhausted from all the staring at big yellow things.ย ๐ย After I took this picture and showed it to him he said he could have done the same thing when I was in the book stores.ย He said he could have laid on the floor and piled himself with books.ย LOL… I wish he would have.ย ๐

Final morning thought… I chose a winner this morning from yesterdays “Choose the next book I read” post.ย I used random.org and the winner is:
Sarah E who chose Rooftops of Tehran
I will be reading this book over the next week and once complete I will mail it to you!ย Congratulations!ย ๐
See everyone tomorrow.ย I will respond to comments later tonight after I am home… dry… and warm.ย ๐

I still say you’re crazy, but good luck and have fun and don’t get sick from the plunge!! ๐
I am feeling a little crazy Amanda so I get that. ๐ Its blowing and snowy today….
Oh well
๐
Best of luck today! I hope your prom dress has sleeves at least. Sounds like more fun than my prom was ๐
It doesnt – but I was thinking I didnt want things to be hard to change out of when I was done ๐
Have fun! Or is that pushing it?
My Sat pic is very boring compared to yours ๐

Sounds like such a fun day! Hope it goes great!
Enjoy-I hope your prom dress is a dry suit. with heating.
Hi!
Great snapshot! That would be a little much for me looking at big yellow things all day. I’m like you, I’d much rather be in a bookstore. Stay warm and don’t catch cold. Enjoy your stop at the book store.

Have fun, almost seems incorrect, but enjoy the Polar Plunge! I personally would have merely donated money, but I do dislike cold water. ๐
The Rooftops of Tehran is splendid, a well chosen book.
Have fun! That sounds like an adventure. And what a pic!
Brrr!!! Yes, you definitely deserve to treat yourself to a book afterwards!
OMG, you really “get into” your photos, don’t you? LOL
Hey, I’d like to see your husband piled under books, too; tit for tat, I guess.
Have fun this weekend.
Here’s MY SATURDAY SNAPSHOT POST
๐
Great shot!
Congrats to Sarah!
I, too, hope you don’t get sick from this plunge! It’s not snowy and blowy here, but it’s still only 35 degrees. I think the bookstore stop is a good plan, though.
That’s one big machine! What kind of work does your husband do?
I can well imagine! lol
Sounds like you are going to have an exciting day–or at least a cold one! Treating yourself to a little something from the bookstore will nice. Have a wonderful day, Sheila!
Quite the unexpected snapshot — love it!
Looking forward to hearing all about the plunge! Hoping for pictures too, as I’d love to see you jumping into the water in a prom dress! *L*
Love the picture of you under the big yellow thing. Think you can talk Al into posing under books in a bookstore? ๐
I am going to try to get that picture someday…. ๐
Brrrrr. I am cold just thinking about plunging into the lake this time of year.
I could see that picture happening at an equipment show, car show or any show I was at for too long!
LOL! I would feel the same way at an equipment show!! ๐
Great picture! I’d probably contemplate doing something like that after only 2 minutes at an equipment show ๐
Have a good “bath” and get warm again soon!
LOL! My dad was a construction worker (highways etc.) so we have a bunch of photos like this of when we were growing up.
You can visit my Saturday Snapshot here
Love your picture and it would have been great to have the companion piece with him in the bookshop!
Here’s my snapshot: http://myreadersblock.blogspot.com/2011/03/saturday-snapshot-march-12.html
Wow, good luck today. I hope the plunge went well! Rooftops of Tehran sounds like a great read!
Good luck today, stay warm, and man that is an awesome pic!
I think my husband probably feels the same way about book shopping with me. In bookstores or libraries I completely lose track of time while browsing.
Cracking up at the kid laying in front of the tractor….some of my best decisions were made wtihout mood alternative dance, too.
Thats me under the tire there ๐
My husband is a machinist and soooo many times at trade shows I have felt exactly like this pic. Very funny! ๐
LOL
Great snapshot. Look forward to your thoughts on rooftops of tehran.
