Morning Meanderings…. It’s “P” Day!

Good morning!

Current temperature in Minnesota….

I am leaving here shortly to drive 2 1/2 hours to put on a prom dress and then plunge into the water with my team the Snow Queens to raise money for Special Olympics.

Yup…

today should be interesting.

I think on my way home I get to treat myself to a book store stop.ย  ๐Ÿ˜€

As for my picture today for Alyce’s Saturday Snapshot…here is a fun one from last February.ย  Al (hubby) and I were at an equipment auction in Florida.ย  We had been there ALL DAY walking and walking and walking looking at equipment for our business.ย  I was trying hard to be a team player but I was exhausted from all the staring at big yellow things.ย  ๐Ÿ˜€ย  After I took this picture and showed it to him he said he could have done the same thing when I was in the book stores.ย  He said he could have laid on the floor and piled himself with books.ย  LOL… I wish he would have.ย  ๐Ÿ˜›

This is what happens when you are at an equipment show too long ๐Ÿ™‚

Final morning thought… I chose a winner this morning from yesterdays “Choose the next book I read” post.ย  I used random.org and the winner is:

Sarah E who chose Rooftops of Tehran

I will be reading this book over the next week and once complete I will mail it to you!ย  Congratulations!ย  ๐Ÿ˜€

See everyone tomorrow.ย  I will respond to comments later tonight after I am home… dry… and warm.ย  ๐Ÿ˜€

  1. Hi!
Great snapshot! That would be a little much for me looking at big yellow things all day. I’m like you, I’d much rather be in a bookstore. Stay warm and don’t catch cold. Enjoy your stop at the book store.

  2. Have fun, almost seems incorrect, but enjoy the Polar Plunge! I personally would have merely donated money, but I do dislike cold water. ๐Ÿ˜‰

The Rooftops of Tehran is splendid, a well chosen book.

  3. Congrats to Sarah!

I, too, hope you don’t get sick from this plunge! It’s not snowy and blowy here, but it’s still only 35 degrees. I think the bookstore stop is a good plan, though.

  4. Sounds like you are going to have an exciting day–or at least a cold one! Treating yourself to a little something from the bookstore will nice. Have a wonderful day, Sheila!

  5. Looking forward to hearing all about the plunge! Hoping for pictures too, as I’d love to see you jumping into the water in a prom dress! *L*

Love the picture of you under the big yellow thing. Think you can talk Al into posing under books in a bookstore? ๐Ÿ˜€

  6. Brrrrr. I am cold just thinking about plunging into the lake this time of year.

I could see that picture happening at an equipment show, car show or any show I was at for too long!

  7. Great picture! I’d probably contemplate doing something like that after only 2 minutes at an equipment show ๐Ÿ™‚
Have a good “bath” and get warm again soon!

  8. I think my husband probably feels the same way about book shopping with me. In bookstores or libraries I completely lose track of time while browsing.

Hmmmm... what do you think?
