Morning Meanderings… Books To Movies 2011….

Good Morning!  I am done with my coffee and the car is warming in the garage.  Before I head out for a work day, Group Power this late afternoon, and my first Special Event planning this evening – I had to share with you two books that I am excited about becoming movies in 2011.

First in February, I Am Number Four by Pittacus Lore is coming out in movie format.  I received this book in May, have yet to read it, but have heard wonderful things about it.  The movie trailer makes me even more curious:

Another book to movie  I am super excited about is The Help by Kathryn Stockett.  This movie is set for August of 2011.  No movie trailer yet, but I had a sneak peek at a few pictures last night that made me excited to see what they do with this!

Sissy Spacek!

Are there any books becoming movies that you are excited about?

  1. Like The Book Girl I’m almost afraid to see “The Help” because it was one of my favorite books this year. I do hope they don’t ruin it, but the fact that Sissy Spacek is in it gives me hope.

  2. Hunger Games! I also have been seeing previews for “I am Number 4”. I haven’t read the book, though it’s on my shelf. The previews for the movie have me itching to get it though.

  3. Oh, I was very excited to read about The Help coming to the big screen—and Sissy Spacek! She plays a fabulous southern character (maybe because she grew up in the South!).

All of the actors in this sound really good.

    I don’t think I can wait until next summer…sigh….

  4. I’m sure The Help will be wonderful and this is the first I have heard of Sissy Spacek being in it! I’ll be reading this one with my book group in the spring so I think I foresee a movie night with these ladies!

  5. I just finished reading I Am Number Four a couple of weeks back. Personally, I liked the book but I’ve read some negative reviews as well. Anyway, the only reason I picked it up was because of the movie buzz and I wanted to read the book first before the movie is released. Anyway, have a good reading week ahead!
