Good morning! I suppose you are thinking with a post title like that I must be in a funk. Not so…. just a couple of things that I have been thinking about this weekend and this is my first meandering since Saturday so …
First – I feel like a goober because in the last few months several of you have given me awards for my blog and I have yet to pass them on. In fact two of you passed on the bunny one to me and I thought it was super cool…. and again, neglected to post it. I had a plan to post awards at the end of each month but that just has not panned out. I do appreciate the awards, they are so wonderful and I will get better at passing them on.
Second- after rollerblading 10 miles on Easter Sunday afternoon with my 19-year-old son, I felt sluggish and like I was lagging behind. I determined that perhaps I wasn’t in as good of shape as I was before winter. GAH. I have work to do.
This week will be a busy one as I prep a couple posts for tours (Lotus Eaters is coming up today!), work, workout, and find a place to stay for an upcoming weekend trip to Pensacola, Florida to see Navy Son (not this weekend but next) – oh and remember Saturday is the Readathon and I am super excited to participate 🙂
There is so much I don’t know about blogging. No excuse. I’ve been given nice awards in the past. I would love to give back. I just don’t know when or how. Maybe I’m just being dense. That’s not new for me. I really would love to give awards rather than receive them.
They are fun Tea – and appreciated. I always mean to pass them on – and I will…. 🙂
You do a lovely job at blogging! 🙂
WOW! What a crazy week you have ahead!
Love Gilmore Girls (miss that show) though I love Parenthood with Lauren Graham.
Good luck this weekend! I know lots of people are participating and you guys will have a blast 🙂
Felicia – I loved the Gilmore Girls too…. the more I watched it, the more brilliant I thought it was. I have watched Parenthood… its just not the same.
Gotta love a Gilmore Girls reference. 🙂
You already know my week is pretty crazy, too, with closing on a house Friday. I packed my first boxes yesterday.
Hannah – I was thinking about your week! I haven’t moved in 14 years but I remember all the little details that go into it. 🙂
I hope it is a wonderfully smooth week for you!
I miss The Gilmore Girls. I try to catch the reruns when I can. I have some awards I have gotten too that I never posted. It’s hard to keep up with blogging, reading and life! If you figure out the secret to manage it all please let me know! I struggle with it so! I’m looking forward to the Readathon this weekend!
I thought I had the secret Beth, I was going to do a post at the end of the month, but the end of the month became a recap time and winner announcements….
I think I need to just choose a date monthly and do it that way 🙂
Isn’t rollerblaiding the best! ahum, I haven’t done that in like maybe…10 years…or longer! 🙂
My week is so busy, I don’t even know why I’m blogging at the moment. I just needed a time to escape reality! I have exams this week and I have studied from 12 to 4! 🙂 I still have allot to do, so after dinner I will start again. Pffff….
My week is crazy too Nina but I have to squeeze in some blogging 🙂
Have a good week and breathe 🙂
Hi, Sheila…I was here earlier and got sidetracked by your giveaway, and then realized that I hadn’t commented! I’m so out of it!
Maybe I’ve finally gone around the bend, with all my blogs!
I’m actually writing my newest book, and the character is someone who DOES go around the bend after getting “lost in the Blogosphere.”
LOL Laurel – is your main character me?
Gilmore Girls was and remains my favoritest show ever. I have the entire series on dvd, so I can cuddle up and watch the mother-daughter interaction anytime I want. I’m that much of a GG nerd. 😉
Me too hippiechrissey! It is my comfort show. I have all the seasons and watch them every winter in the evenings….
This week looks super busy: lots of meetings, technology going crazy in my library, and (sound the trumpets) the Read-a-Thon on Saturday!
I can hear the trumpets Helen… 🙂
Oh man, do I know what you mean when you say you’ve got a lot of work to do! I’ve got two years of work in an office to make up for, but even if it wasn’t for that, I was especially bad this winter. Today, since I’m feeling better than I have in a week and the weather is nice, I’m re-instituting bike rides with my dog! Always something to look forward to. 🙂
Oh yes Amy – I just get mad at myself because last year I was doing so well and eating right… and then winter I slow down…. get a bit lazy….. and here we go again. 🙂
I’m bad about posting the awards, too. And even worse about passing them on!
I am going to try to be better Lisa 😉
LOL! When I saw this in my email I was thinking… hmm.. somethings up, this doesn’t sound like Sheila! I know what you mean about posting awards. I love getting them and appreciate it but it is a little bit of work passing it along and I guess that’s why I delay it. I know, not nice. Eh.
Natalie :0)
LOL Natalie 🙂 I am so glad I am not alone in this 🙂
Another week of trying to get organized. Not working. May go to Asheville tomorrow to help work on my daughter’s house, but will probably stay here and work on a prairie dress for my other daughter. She needs it Friday for a Civil War reenactment this weekend. I’ve been working in the yard and have a lot of work that needs to be done in the flower beds. We have Tartan Days in town Friday and Saturday and a Celtic concert Saturday night. If I’m lucky (or rather if my daughter is lucky) I’ll at least get the dress done by Friday. Luckily it was already cut out. We did that over a year ago. She was supposed to make it with my help. I knew it would end up being my project. She has everything for a ball gown, but that isn’t going to happen any time soon. Luckily she bought one from a friend last Fall.
Wow Pat you are busy as usual! Things just dont slow down! 🙂
Nothing big coming up…we’re on Spring Break so I’m just enjoying the downtime and trying to get some review books read and out of the way…so can’t wait for Saturday!
Me too Staci!
Have fun with the Readathon-I have friends here from Australia-YEAH so much fun so little sleep and another friend coming out from N. Carolina.
Esme your friends sound fun! Have a blast and stay up late watching movies and eating all sorts of junk food 😀
Oh how I miss the dialogue on Gilmore Girls!
Me too Lisa… no show tops that one.
I use the term “butt-faced miscreant” ALL THE TIME!! LOVE it!!
LOL Michelle! Now you know it is ok to use it on me who does not know how to timely pass on awards – LOL
I am catching up… I will… I know I can 🙂
Great post!
Well, as for my week looking… Its Wed. and I am really really behind in my blog reading. I am getting ready to get off and read now and I am still way behind. Oh, I will get caught up at some point. 🙂 Have a great week!
Thanks Melissa – I feel behind too. Seems like I am always working on something 🙂
