Morning Meanderings

It is currently 19 below zero here.  As I type, I am warming up my Durango because I am due at the gym in 30 minutes to workout with a friend.  Did I mention it was 19 below?  I am wondering if I need this friend…..  LOL..  (just kidding)  (I think)

Day 2 of the Bloggiesta.  Yesterday for me went pretty well.  I was able to visit a lot of blogs which I always enjoy.  It amazes me that even after the 7 months that I have been doing this and meeting others… I have not even scratched the surface of all the blogs that are out there.  And that’s just book blogs! After my return from the gym, I will get back into my to do list for the Bloggiesta.  Now I will spending time today on the housekeeping of my blog as well as well as looking into the mini challenges that I have not visited yet.

Later today I have my author chat with Becca Fitzpatrick – author of hush hush.  I am so excited to have her here at One Persons Journey Through A World of Books!  There will also be a giveaway or two posted so really should be an active blog day!

Stay warm everyone….. any big fun Saturday plans?

  1. Man, and I thought I was cold down here in south Florida. You’ve got nothing on me! And bravo for going to the gym today. I’ll remember that later when I’m hemming and hawing about doing a workout video right at home. Such a wimp I am!

Yesterday in Bloggiesta I was cleaning up my website and accidentally deleted a TON of data. Fortunately after a few hours I was able to recover it.

Today I’m going to prep some postings that will go up later this week and also add another graphic to my sidebar. I’m now a reviewer for Sourcebooks, and I couldn’t be happier!

I also need to finish reading The Gospel According to Lost and get that review ready.

Fortunately, it’s a cold, rainy day and I’ll have good excuses to stay inside and do all of this.

    Stay warm!

    1. Good Morning Laura. I just received the Gospel according to Lost. I am excited to see what it is all about!

Bummer about your data! That would cause me to freak out here!

Sourcebooks is fantastic – enjoy their wonderful books!

  2. I am so impressed (going to the gym in that cold weather!) I haven’t been to the gym for the past week or so because it’s been too darn cold. And I live in Florida so “too darn cold” is in the 30’s. LOL. 🙂

    1. Christina…. I was so close to texting her and saying I wasnt going to go. I am glad i did though. It went quickly and now I am home and warm and back on Bloggiesta!

I will be in Florida the end of this month. Hope it is better than the 30’s! 🙂

  3. Wow, and I was thinking it was cold here! What a baby I am! It’s 47 degrees. Yeah, that’s actually hot compared to 19 below!

Our extremes come in the summer, with the 110 to 115 degrees we get.

Today I want to visit more blogs, too. It’s been great following the links on the mini-challenges, etc.

BTW…I have a question I’ve been wanting to ask! When you create your custom header with a series of smaller pictures, how do you do that? Do you put together a bunch of photos, photograph those, and then upload that?

It’s just been niggling at my mind.

Hope you have a great workout and a fabulous Bloggiesta Day.

    1. I would love 47 degrees! 🙂

Picnic collage is the answer to the pictures in my header. I use Picnic a lot (it is an application on Facebook. I think I will do a post about how to do this soon as you are not the first to ask! 🙂

    1. Stephanie – me too! No commitment weekends are the best! 🙂 We have a house warming to go to later tonight for some friends of ours but that will be fun – dinner and board games! 🙂

  4. Sheila I give you credit going to the gym that early when it is that cold. I will get there in the next 45 minutes but was loving my time under the duvet this morning.

  5. Its been about 10 here. I can’t imagine having to go out early in the morning, I guess I’m spoiled.
I see you have a new button! Its very cute, I’ll have to put it on my blog.
Hope your day goes well !

    1. Working out in the morning works better for me Natalie. As the day goes on I get lazy and then I more likely not to gol

Thanks for noticing the new button! 🙂 It was on my Bloggiesta list of things to do!

  6. Note to self – it is not cold in SF even though I think it is. It is cold where you are! The gym is a great way to get the blood flowing! Good luck with the author chat and the rest of Blogiesta!

  7. Bravo for fighting the cold winter to get out to the gym. I’m not sure I’d manage lol. I just got back to the gym after taking 2 weeks off and I’m feeling those weeks off with every move I make.

  8. 19 Degrees! You definitely have us beat… I think. But you probably should up there. I am here in Pennsylvania and it is cold enough for me. I am ready for the warm shining sun of summer to come around. Although, we didn’t get much of a summer this past year. I hope we get the warm ones back soon.

    Try to keep warm!

Looks like you have been really busy with the blog. Congrats on getting so much done!

    1. We didnt get much of a summer this last year either. That is my favorite time of year so I was bummed!

Thanks for the blog comment…. I really am liking the new look.

  9. I only started visiting blogs last summer. As you said, there are so many out there. Every night I find another 5 or so. I am going to have to develope some sort of strategy to either speed up or cut out my blog visits. I am spending way too much time on line and it is cutting into my reading time. We won’t mention what it is doing to my getting housework done ;o).

  10. Lately it has been 2 or 3 for me, then I need to get up and go to work. Not good. As my co-workers at the library say, I need intervention. I keep finding such interesting sites, it is hard to stop.
