It’s Monday – What Are You Reading?

Thanks to J Kaye’s Blog for hosting this fun meme!

Here’s what I read last week:

Timeless Toys by Tim Walsh

Take Your Best Shot by Austin Gutwein

Defining Twilight by Brian Leaf

The Murder Of King Tut (audio) James Patterson

Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone by JK Rowling

Mayo Clinic Diet and Journal

Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick

I really enjoy planning my reads for the week and here is the plan:

Yes it looks like I have BIG plans.  But really not so much…

What To Do When The Roof Caves In by Marilyn Meberg (started in October and sat aside… plan this week to finish it)

Things Worth Remembering by Jackina Stark (been on the TBR shelf… time to make a debut)

The Cost Of Dreams by Gary Stelzer (half way through)

The Heretic’s Daughter by Kathleen Kent (yes you have seen this one here before…. twice before in fact.  I don’t know what is with me and this book but it seems to be just dragging…. I don’t know why… I think its me but I refuse to give up!)

One Day Way by Hobbs – (this one is finished and up for blog tour this week with a giveaway!)

Harry Potter and The Chamber Of Secrets by JK Rowling (bonus indulgence book for fun… if I have time)

So what are you reading this week?

  1. Once you start Harry Potter it’s hard to put it down, always a good read. My New Year’s resolution is to make my house a home so I’ m reading a book called “At Home With Laurie Ann” – A Decorator’s Guide: Turn the Place You Live Into a Home You Love. You can bet it will have a nice cozy reading corner with a lot of storage for books!

    1. Betty I agree. I read the first book last week (again) and now I am all excited to continue with book two. The fact that it would count for 4 of my challenges doesn’t hurt either (Gilmore Girls, YA, 100+ reads, and The Harry Potter Reading Challenge) 🙂

Your book sounds awesome – I will want to see your review!

  2. I’m reading Corrigan’s Pool by Dot Ryan right now. Just finished Against Doctor’s Orders by K.M. Daughter, the first book in their Sullivan Boys series–book 3 is due out this month–and Real Men by Greg Middleton.

There are days I wish the whole world would go away so I could just sit and read. 🙂

      1. Awesome news Sheila! I haven’t got the official post up yet (it will be up this week!) but we’re doing the Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld this month. I adored it so much that I read all 3 books in a week, and have been dying to talk about them since.

  3. Today, I’m going to finish reading “In Silence” by Erica Spindler. Tomorrow I will start reading “Alex & Me” written by Irene M. Pepperberg.

  4. Great list of books!! I have Heretics Daughter on my must read list.
I’m currently reading The Witch Doctors Wife by Tamar Myers.
    Have a great week!

  5. Wow, you read a lot last week!

Don’t give up on the Heretic’s Daughter – it’s one of the best books I read last year – a very powerful story.

    Happy New Year!

    Sue

  6. It would probably be helpful to come up with a reading plan, as right now I just grab whichever book is calling my name the loudest!

Just finished The Recipe Club, and going to start Three Days To Dead tomorrow. I just picked this one up, but it jumped straight to the top of my TBR pile! Can’t wait!

    Enjoy your week!

    1. I try to read at least a couple that have been here for awhile and get them read – they all look so darn good! Then I usually pick one thats just for me… just where my head is at. 🙂

  7. The Heretic’s Daughter is on my list of a maybe read for this month. I hope that if I do read it that it will not drag for me.

Defining Twilight and Hush Hush are on my radar. I off to read your reviews.

Hope you have a great week!

  8. Wow! Such a great week of books. Sorry I am so late in getting here. The reading challenges I am hosting have me way behind. Maybe by next Monday I’ll have caught up…but don’t hold your breath…lol.
