House Points

We certainly can not have a Harry Potter Re-Read without House Points!  Joining in on the points is certainly optional, do not feel you need to battle for points… however if you like a little extra fun in the long winter months, this could be the thing.

Below are listed ways to earn points.  Your points will be kept track of here.  Check back often as new ways to earn points may be added.

Write a start-up post – On or before November 1st write a post that lets people know you will be participating in this re-read, posting your house meme and linking back to the original sign up post.  House Points:  5

Late Start up post – After November 1st but before November 30th write a post that lets people know you will be participating in this re-read, posting your house meme and linking back to the original sign up post.  House Points:  2

Comment on any of the Start up posts that are linked on the Start up Post link.  House Points:  1 per *relevant comment per post

Participate in any Giveaway/Quiz posts while giveaway is active by commenting or doing as instructed.  These posts are found under the tab:  Giveaway Posts.  House Points: 3 per *relevant comment per post

Connecting with a post or commenting on the current book post found under the Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft and Wizardry post title.  House points:  2 points per *relevant comment, 3 points for writing your own post (before, during, or after the read of each book) and linking it

Note:  Relevant means “closely connected or appropriate to the matter at hand”.  This means you will not receive points for comments like “stopped in to say hi, see my start-up post, nice post, good luck!” or any other comments redeemed unconnected to what the post is about.

Comment posts will be counted as house points only for up to 7 days after the post is posted, and if the post is linked to the Start Up Post link.
