It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?

2a

Hello!  Welcome to It’s Monday What Are You Reading?  The meme that we use to share what we read this past week and what our plans are for the upcoming week.  It’s a great way to see what others are reading and add to your own To Be Read list. 😀  You never know where that next great read may come from!

Happy First Monday of the New Year!!!  Can you believe it?  I was just thinking that I took over this meme in February 2010.  That is a LOT of Mondays. 🙂

This week has been cra-zay.  New Years came and went and  I am preparing (still) to leave tomorrow morning for Australia.  Yup.  Australia.  Yeah… I am freaking out too.  So here is what I posted this week:

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban  (Re-readalong post)

Confessions by James Patterson

The Trip Unveil (about where I am going)

Good Night June by Sarah Jio

Left Neglected by Lisa Genova

All the readers pics that were sent in for First Book Of The Year!

Pie Girls by Lauren Clark (audio review)

The Giver Movie Review

2015…  A look back and a look forward ( a personal look at my blogging year and life happenings of the past year)

Station Eleven by Emily St John... did I love it?  Did I?

And… I archived all of the reviews I have written here since 2009

What a week!  SO this is what I have been doing instead of packing!  As for the next week, tomorrow morning I will post what I am taking with me for books but I have no idea at this point what I will be reading.  I still need to download audio books to my phone… gah… how did time get away from me?

I have posts planned for while I am away so please pop in… some fellow blogger buddies have agreed to pop in with a post and I have read what they have written and it is pretty good stuff.  I will post reviews as I can, not sure if I will always have internet service but we will see.  *whew*  I feel like I need one more day to prepare 🙂

  1. Bon voyage! You’ll probably pick up free wifi in spots! Looking forward to hearing what books you’ll read while you are away. Go enjoy!

      1. I’m thinking there’s a strong chance you’ll have most of your amenities as long as you’re not in places like the Outback 🙂 I would think at the hotels you should.

  2. Oh wow! You’re coming to Australia! I might have missed a post about your plans! Keen to hear what you’ll be up to!

PS. It’s VERY hot at the moment!

  3. I was WONdering how you were going to squeeze in packing and be ready when you’re doing all that reading lol You must like last-minute pressure! You’re quite the whirlwind, Sheila 🙂

  4. You’re a busy bee! Have an awesome time Sheila!! It’s hot and humid here so pack shorts & t’s and don’t forget your swimmers lol. Depends where you’re staying in Sydney, some hotels have free wifi, bars, some restaurants of course good old McDonalds. Do a harbour cruise 🙂
Hope you’re reading at least one Aussie author in honour of the visit lol

  5. I do hope you aren’t going to Western Australia this week, it’s SO hot and they are expecting bushfires. South Australia had fires and are expecting more in the new few days after a short reprieve. Victoria has had fires too. Here in Sydney it’s been humid and unpleasant but by Thursday and Friday this week it will be much worse. Do be careful.
    Enjoy your stay in Australia!

  6. Have a great trip Sheila!!! Can’t wait to hear all about it! I always stress about packing – what clothes to bring, what books to bring…no matter how many times I go away, it never gets easier. So cool, though, that you’re able to get packing tips/weather hints from your readers – I’m always amazed at the outreach our blogs have! Enjoy!!!

  7. Haha, I’m a bit lazy still. I haven’t fully read even 1 book so far, but I’m reading 3 now (4, if you include reading some articles for reference from another book). I’ve got a pile from the library.
    Have fun in Australia.

Hmmmm... what do you think?
