I am embarrassingly behind on drawing winners for the giveaways I have going. There doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day. All week long my goal was to post winners to the giveaways so I could be current going into BEA, and night after night I drop exhausted into a chair around 9 pm and think, well…too late to do it tonight.

Well… tonight, I am home from running early, just spoke to hubby and he will not be home until around 8 pm…. and it is time…. to post the giveaways and winners 🙂

Morning Meanderings and March Recap (winners)

Good morning all. Super gloomy weather wise here today. I was planning to hit the gym this morning but looking out the window zapped me of all energy. That ever happen to you?

So instead… I have a review of The Fiddlers Gun to write today and hopefully have some time to get deep into a couple other books if not finish one. I think I will hang around the house most of the day catching up on laundry, and a few other tasks that need to be done.

I thought that I would use todays meandering to also recap last month and the winners for March. So here we go:

I have no idea how it happens but as hard as I try (and I really do try!) I seem to always be late on announcing my giveaway winners. I do seriously hope to get better at this so please bear with me.

*By the way – when saying bear with me I was unsure if it was bare or bear so I had to look it up…. here is what I found.

There are actually three words here. The simple one is the big growly creature (unless you prefer the Winnie-the-Pooh type). Hardly anyone past the age of ten gets that one wrong. The problem is the other two. Stevedores bear burdens on their backs and mothers bear children. Both mean “carry” (in the case of mothers, the meaning has been extended from carrying the child during pregnancy to actually giving birth). But strippers bare their bodies—sometimes bare-naked. The confusion between this latter verb and “bear” creates many unintentionally amusing sentences; so if you want to entertain your readers while convincing them that you are a dolt, by all means mix them up. “Bear with me,” the standard expression, is a request for forbearance or patience.
“Bare with me” would be an invitation to undress. “Bare” has an adjectival form: “The pioneers stripped the forest bare.”

Morning Meanderings…

My late night blogging hasn’t been so much as of lately. Busy schedules, long hours have left me pretty shot at the end of the day and my vision of posting my February recap and winners the last couple nights resulted in me staring at the screen and then going to bed. 😉

So – now…… morning…. with COFFEE…. I am going to do the February recap 🙂
