The Spoiler Page was created for when I wanted to talk deeper about a book – or talk about what is in a book in more detail without discussion things that might take away from someone who has not read the book.
In this case… its a little of both.
Girl, Wash Your Face has sooooo many good quotes in it that you just want to make into sticky notes and put them on the mirror, in your car, wherever.
A few of those quotes that spoke to me are:
“SOMEONE ELSE’S OPINION OF ME IS NONE OF MY BUSINESS.”
These gave me pause…
“No doesn’t mean that you stop; it simply means that you change course in order to make it to your destination.”
Slow down your yes. Only commit to things you know you can accomplish because they’re incredibly important to you. Otherwise you set yourself up for continued failure.”
Honestly – the chapter about loss is the one that stopped me. I can not find the quote now as I passed the book on, but it had to do with after her brother died and she tried living for both of them. I honestly thought I was the only one that did that…
Anyway this is a start.
