The Land And Its People by David Sedaris

Laugh-out-loud funny ~ Sheila

David Sedaris shares, in essay style, tidbits of his life …

Becoming a caregiver when Hugh has a hip replacement

Traveling in a car with a stranger

Bitten by a dog

Possibly harassed on the streets but not certain

A trip abroad with his sisters

Going to Kenya and forgetting to take pictures

If you enjoy good quick wit – give David a try. I have listened (I believe) to all of his books. AND listening is recommended…. his deadpan monotone voice draws you in … the stories are hilarious, and some of the things he says literally had me laugh out loud.

Not all chapters were for me, and there were a couple I could have skipped, but I mostly really enjoyed a visit back to a rare treasure of the world, David Sedaris.
