Spending this week on vacation in Alabama with friends, a little beach, some tasty food, and great reads. At this time I am about half way through the new Kristen Hannah book, The Four Winds.
It is sooooooo good.
If you have read Kristen Hannah before ( The Nightingale, Firefly Lane, Winter Garden, True Colors…) I would say this is in her top books. If you have not read her before, this would be a great place to start.

The weather has been cooler but nice. Low 60’s a little cooler than we are used to when we vacation, however time with friends… and we are out of the snow… no complaints here. I do not get a lot of time to just sit and enjoy a good book when I am home so this is a time to sit in a deck chair and do just that – and that… is where I am going now.

Just started this book. Hoping it gets better. It’s not particularly engrossing so far.

I loved The Four Winds! I read Firefly Lane a few years ago, and recently got hooked on the Netflix show. Hope there is another season!

Enjoy your time away. Mine is coming to a close and I am not looking forward to going back to COLD. Oh well. Loved Firefly Lane in print and on Netflix. Hope it is renewed. The Four Winds is waiting for me back at home.

I have read The Great Alone and The Nightingale, both of which I loved. I have this one my TBR shelf and am really looking forward to it.
Its been a while since I have read one of her books and it’s been fun to jump into this one.
I love the Alabama beaches! My dad has a house in Fort Morgan and I love the quietness of it. I didn’t realize Firefly Lane was on Netflix! Somehow I have never read a Kristin Hannah book and I really need to fix that.

I absolutely loved The Four Winds. What a powerful story! My all time favorite book of Kristin’s was Firefly Lane, so I have yet to watch the Netflix series (afraid I will be disappointed). Four Winds has definitely tied Firefly Lane for my favorite Kristin Hannah books.
