Hey there! Welcome to It’s Monday, What Are You Reading!
I love being a part of this and I hope you do too! As part of this weekly meme I love to encourage you all to go and visit the others participating in this meme. Fair warning… this meme tends to add to your reading list!
It was another week of not a lot happening here in the reading world. Here is what I did post:
The Three by Sarah Lotz
Brown Bag Author Event: Julie Kramer
Little Mercies by Heather Gudenkauf
Save The Date by Mary Kay Andrews
The Third Plate By Dan Barber (excellent non fiction!)
Ok ok… when you look at that list you would think I read a lot this week, but the only one of these I finished this week was Save The Date, the others are just reviews I am just catching upon.
I am exhausted from going on a 50 mile bike ride today in high heat and strong winds so I am not going to list what the plan is for this week. Please add your link to It’s Monday What Are You Reading below where it says click here. 🙂

Not sure I could get off the bike if I rode 50 miles! I hope to get to The Three this week.
50 mile bike run in the heat and humidity? You are a strong gal! Good for you. I have to read your review of Little Mercies.
I loved Save the Date. Fun book. Hope you have a great week!
Enjoy your week! Little Mercies was a favorite read for me this month.
I would agree Laurel – it was sooooo good!
Holy cow! I’m exhausted just reading about the bike ride!
Looks like a good week even though busy. I know how that feels! Well – not the bike ride part. That is really great for you to accomplish. I hope this week is good for you.
What an amazing bike ride. You are amazing!
No wonder you’re exhausted, that’s an impressive ride! I enjoyed your review of The Third Plate. I’ve got a bit of a review backlog happening, hoping to catch up this week. Have a good week & happy reading 🙂
I am reading “The Girls From Corona Del Mar”
Interesting story of young adult girls facing the stages of growing up and the challenges that come with becoming adults.
I love Corona Del Mar, CA and have enjoyed the references to that area.
I feel like it’s a good week if I post twice instead of once! So pat yourself on the back.
Mary Kay Andrews is so funny. Love her books.
Loved Little Mercies.
ENJOY your reading week.
I hope you get a chance to rest up.
I actually gave up on a book this weekend, and then read Three Summer Beaches. Our TV is out, so reading it is!
Have just begun Pearl Luke’s Madam Zee about Mabel Rowbotham, a very well known Canadian mystic and psychic connected to the cult leader Brother XII during the early 20th century on the West Coast of Canada. I’d read about this book on another book blog (horrors) and it peaked my curiosity enough to track down a used copy.
Please, be careful on that ride
Sounds like you had a great week! You reminded me that I need to post my review of The Three – I wrote it awhile ago!
APE HOUSE by Sara Gruen, 2010.
Wow, 50 miles!! That’s incredible!
Wow, a 50-mile bike ride! Good for you!
And I think 4 reviews is a very productive week! I need to catch up on reviews this week.
Enjoy your books this week –
Book By Book
You are super woman! 50 miles in the heat and humidity would have killed me.
50 miles, wow! That’s a bike ride! Liked your review of The Third Plate a lot, I’ve been thinking lately about that very subject, and how we can even produce that much food- kinda scary. Definetly want to read it.
It’s great that you can ride a bike for so long in the summer heat. Give yourself a high-five and relax today on your back deck with a book!
thank you for the birthday wishes last week. I am going to grab The Hurricane Sisters Next.
Glad you got a ride in. Summer is about giving ourselves the time to do the things we can’t squeeze in the rest of the year.
Wow! 50 miles is an intense ride. Maybe a good time for an audio book? 🙂
This week I have been reading the second book in the Medicine Man series from S. R. Howen and I have been just blown away at how good this is. The first book was incredible and I really didn’t think the author would be able to match it but I was very pleasantly surprised. Howen is a brilliant author and getting better with every release. Some of the best fiction I have ever read for sure. http://www.srhowen.com/
