Good morning. 😀 If I were a grumbly sort this would be just the occasion to pull out the grumbles. GAH. SNOW.
Yet another 8,9, 10 inches fell between yesterday afternoon and late last night.

6 days out now from the 7K in the cities. Seriously… should I run in snow boots? 😯
In other better happier news… a few books arrived this week:

So what craziness awaits me today? Well shoveling for one. While Al is plowing I need to get snow odd that back deck before my dogs can just leap over the railing. At some point there is talk of it turning to rain and at that point the snow will freeze and it will be even a bigger mess.
I have church this morning, I think the gym this afternoon, and an early “healthy eating” get together where I still need to figure out what I am going to bring. I am doing a main dish for about 18 people.
How are things in your corner of the world… please share with me sunshine and green grass and temperatures over 30 degrees…. I need the encouragement. 😀

Wow, if we had snow like that, we’d be in the house!! Not to be mean, but we’re having gorgeous, spring-like weather.
I needed to hear spring stories Kathy, I am in need of them 😀
Ahhh, March in the midwest! We never know what in the world is going to happen!
Forget the shoveling 😉 Stay inside with your books!
Just need to get some off that deck – seriously it is so high I am afraid my dogs can get over the deck railing. 😛
We’re having spring weather, too, although the last couple of days were cooler. Not cold, though.
It’s 47 degrees right now, but later today, it will be 72! Yay! I wish for a longer spring, with the summer heat holding off until June, at least.
I don’t know any of those books….but here’s what my week looked like: MY SUNDAY SALON POST
72!!!!! Oh how I miss that!
We had similar weather here — rain yesterday morning followed by snow in the afternoon. Now it’s cold, so everything is frozen over. It’s awesome (and by that I mean not awesome at all). There’s a small ice mountain at the bottom of our driveway from the plow that I’m not sure how we’re going to get through… yay, winter?
Yeah “yay winter” 😯
LOL
We have had rain here in SE MN. I thought I was going to have to build an Ark. The drains for our parking lot were still frozen. I had a lake outside my house. Luckily, the guy who plows our lot spent most of the day trying to unfreeze the drain and pumping out the water. Today, while it is still raining, at least our lot is no longer flooding. I’d rather have snow!
I want grass. 😀
I would be in a total panic if I had to feed 18 people and still didn’t know what I was bringing that day. Then again, I am not much of a cook. 🙂
And I would enjoy watching a run where people had to wear snow boots; I wouldn’t enjoy participating in it though.
I am not much of a cook either. 😀 I only have to do the main dish though and the theme is healthy so I am going to steam vegies and add chicken. Wala. 😀
Well we had snow a few days ago and now…Sunny and 53…so there is hope…I had to chuckle about the comment of the dogs just hopping over the railing because a few years ago we were shoveling a lot of snow off of the driveway when my husband noticed one of our dogs had joined us…he opened the gate put her back in the back yard and by the time he rejoined us she was again in the drive way…this happend a few more time with my daughter and I laughing hysterically! Yiu see the snow was so high that she was just hopping over the fence before he even had the gate closed again…lol…she was smarter than he was…lol…
AHHHHH111 So it is possible 😀 ANd my hubby thought I was crazy when I thought the snow was too high on the deck. I am soooo showing him this post.
Happily for me this storm arrived in Chicago as rain, which has the added benefit of melting a lot of Tuesday’s 10 inches of snow. This dreary winter feels like it will never end. Last year I had bulbs coming up already.
I want the melting now please 🙂 Last year has us spoiled… I want that back.
Hmmm… sunny thoughts of sunshine? Well, it’s not quite that here yet…. but we definitely do not have as much snow as you do, and I’m up in CANADA — where everyone lives in igloos!
It looks like a fine day for after-shovelling reading of that stack of books!
Yes – once I get done running to day and this afternoon I need to get on that book club book. 😀
I know you’re sick of all the snow (and I would be too), but it really is beautiful at your house!
It would be pretty if it was December. Its annoying in March. 😀
I can see why you are ready for spring! Snow is pretty but it gets tiring after awhile. Hope this is the end for you guys! Your schedule amazes me…can you share your energy?lol
I am so tired of it. My bike wants to ride! Oh and energy? No… I am pretty much moving without that today. 😀 I am tired and the day is young. 😀
It snowed about 6 inches here yesterday too, but definitely not as much as you got! That’s insane!!!
I got Requiem on Wednesday and finished it Thursday, lol. I thought it was really fantastic. Hope you enjoy it!
OOH I can not wait to get to it!
Other than the over 21 inches we got in little less than week lat last month, I really haven’t seen much snow since I moved here. You are more than welcome to send some of that to me.
I would be happy to send it all to you Ryan 😀 Oh, and the Shining too. I will gett hat out to you this week. 😀
We had a hanfdul of snowflakes fall today as it’s been getting colder, but we’ve mainly had rain over the past few days. I wasn’t too happy about the rain as I’ve been down in London for a blogger brunch at Random House.
I almost feel guilty telling you that we’ve been enjoying some days in the high 40s and low 50s – and a bit of sun! I hope your snow is short-lived. And you got Requiem – I’m jealous!
Oh boy! Look at all that white. I hope you are staying warm this week.
Nice book haul. Enjoy.
