Good morning! It’s Sunday and it is going to be a good day. I am incredibly sore from going back to group power yesterday after 7 months of not attending. OW..but in a good way, it felt good to work muscles that apparently have been laying dormant for quite some time.
I didn’t have a post last Sunday since I was coming home from the North Shore, so I am catching up with two weeks of books that come in the house:
QUIET, the Power Of Introverts by Susan Cain
The Dogs Of Winter by Bobbie Pyron
Sweet Tea Revenge by Laura Childs
Three Graves Full by Jamie Mason
Grace Unexpected by Gale Martin
Dancing To The Flute by Manisha Jolie Amin
The Comfort Of Lies by Randy Susan Meyers
The Best Of Us by Sarah Pekkanen
I have some good reading ahead of me! And speaking of good reading, later today will be my review of The Gilly Salt Sisters and it is going to be a review you will not want to miss! 2013 has been a great year so far for GUSHING about books. 😀
Read The Comfort of Lies as soon as you can – it is really good. The Best of Us is another good one!
OOH thanks Margie 😀 And I love Sarah Pekkanen’s writing!
These sound good! The Best of Us would be my first pick….enjoy!
Here’s MY SUNDAY SALON POST
Sarah Pekkanen will not sit on the shelf long… love her writing.
I’ve heard good things about QUIET. Enjoy all your new books, Sheila. Have a great week!
I have too. I listened to part of it on audio which I will finish but this is a book I want to be able to go back and re read parts and this requires a book, not audio 😀
I’m so excited about Sweet Tea Revenge! I got my copy this week too and can’t wait to get to it! Love me some Laura Childs! 🙂 Happy Sunday!!
I really enjoy her too! Happy reading Sharon 😀
P.S. – Love the new header! You sneaky gal! All Valentiney!
Thanks Sharon – it was fun to do!
Yay, Quiet! I preordered an autographed copy from my local bookshop in Kansas City, Rainy Day Books (have to miss the author event unfortunately, but a signed copy is fun). I can pick it up in few weeks. Looking forward to reading your thoughts on that one!
NICE on the autographed copy! That is fun! I think it will be an interesting one to read 😀
“Quiet” is one that I have been wanting to read for awhile! I’d love to hear what you think of it once you’re done. I have a hold on it at the library… but there are a lot of people with a hold on it. We must live in a world of introverts.
I sometimes wonder if the majority of readers are introverts…. that may be a blog discussion… 😀
What an incredible lineup of new books. I am dying to make time for a Laura Childs’ book. I love the genre, but have not yet read a single one, and there are so many!
She puts out a book a year and she sweetly sends one to me every time. LOVE her! I look forward to reading it during the time my hubby is in Florida – I will have lots of reading time at home 🙂
How wonderful that she is so kind in regards to sending you every new release.
Minnesota author I believe… now I will have to check 🙂
I have Sweet Tea Revenge waiting for me to review. It looks so good. Sounds like you had a couple of good weeks. Hope this week is a good one too.
January seems to be a good month for me, I am over the rush of Christmas and life seems to slow down for a few months… great reading time 😀
I hope you enjoy Shattered. I have the second book Submerged waiting on the stacks. I look forward to Sarah’s new book.
I did not know Shattered had a second, guess I better get going on it. 😀
Although I’m not an introvert, I do want to read Quiet. Enjoy your stash!
This is a neat stack here. Can’t wait to read the reviews!
