Good Morning. 😀 For a while now I have been wanting to put my own twist on a Sunday post. I like the Sunday Salon, but wanted to implement another cool thing I have seen occasionally around the blogs and that is when people kind of check list what they have going on in different areas of their life. Today I am going to give it a test run and see how it goes.
Today….
I am reading The Late Homecomer by Kao Kalia Yang
I am listening to I, Steve Jobs (IPOD), Late Late at Night by Rick Springfield (kitchen CD player), Child 44 (car)
I am hoping today…. I can finish a book, write a couple of reviews, visit some blogs
I am working on… getting ready to go to Florida later this week
I am looking forward to… Florida and hanging out with both of my boys!
I need to… prep some books for mailing, laundry, return some items around town
I want to… watch a movie tonight with popcorn and a warm blanket
I am watching… a light snow fall
The books that entered the doors this week are:
All are review books except Lord Of The Flies is a win from Banned Book Week and fall to grace was a book I bought after a raving recommendation by a friend.
For those of you who know that I did the Monster Dash yesterday morning (and if you didn’t you do now!), it was cool out but wasn’t cold until I stopped running then I got COLD fast! My friend Amy (AKA Wonder Woman) was a trooper and waited for me when I had to make an unplanned bathroom stop at an Assisted Living Home on route as I was not sure I would make it the whole way. GAH. I will post more picks of this event next weekend for Saturday snapshot but for one of us in action:

You stopped at an assisted living facility to use the restroom?? Now why is that making me laugh. You’re new idea might make a great idea. Good luck!
I did! 😛 There was a church before it but it looked locked. Seriously… it was an emergency. 😳
When you “gotta go, you gotta go!” Ha-ha….I usually try to find a restaurant, but they’re not everywhere.
I like your spin on the Sunday posts.
Here’s MY SUNDAY SALON POST
We were on a designated path for the run… I was getting desperate 😀
Found you through Silver’s Reviews! That is such an awesome photo! Happy Halloween! 🙂

Thanks for popping in and thanks about the pic 😀
Wonder what the residents thought of your costume… Hope you get your cozy night in tonight!
I was the only Zombie bride in the run…. LOL
Love the zombie bride look. You have lots of fun races there!
We do keep trying to find new ways to move! 😀
Great haul! Can’t wait to see more of your pics.
Happy reading!
Ashley @ Dr. Pepper Diva
Thanks Ashley 🙂
Sounds fun and busy! What on earth is that creature behind you in the picture?
I have no idea…. but I will keep running 😛
Did you run the whole way in a long dress? Enjoy your new books!
I did not run the entire way… I was a big wimp. I had the wrong shoes on – a tennis shoe yes but not a running shoe and I think I held my poor friend up. I need to practice these 5 k’s and be more ready for them. We fast walked a lit of it 😉
The run looks like you had fun. Good for you!
Nice haul of books you got in.
Hey – where are you going in Florida? Anywhere near the Panhandle where I live. 🙂
Not sure Martha, we will be in Orlando for a couple days and Universal Studios… then to my college son, in Virginia Florida.
Monster Dash… that sounds like fun. I’m not ready for cold. At least you get to go to warm Florida. I was out for a 2 hour birdwalk in freezing temps Saturday. A birdrun would have been much warmer, but it would have also chased away the birds. So I froze!
I love love love the photo of you from the Monster Dash, especially with the zombie in the background! So cool.
It is always good to have a friend who’ll join you in crazy stuff!
I love the Sunday Checklist and that Monster Dash sure looks fun!
