Good morning! I normally do not post on Mondays but instead let the Monday meme ride, but it is banned book week so if you are looking for Monday, What Are You Reading, link up here to that.

LOL…. just kidding… but if you have followed the Banned Books lists and reviews then you know… there are some WONDERFUL and AMAZING books that have been banned and challenged through the years and honestly? I just think it is really fun to celebrate them!

Green Eggs and Ham! People have their minds in the gutter to think this book has sexual references. Wow.
Kathy I think this one went down for “acts of rebellion”…. those misbehaving kids in the book – and oh, dont even get me started on Cat In The Hat…. another banned book 🙂

Thanks Lannie for the comment and the book room love. I suspect when I get old and tired of the bike riding and the mud runs and the craziness I tend to get myself into… that will be my place of constant sanctuary….

Thank you for the opportunity to take part in this event, the extraordinary list of banned books came as such an eye opener to me. I’ve enjoyed visiting all the other bloggers you mentioned today (though I couldn’t find Stacy’s post) and look forward to visiting more over the week.

I had forgot all about Zilpha Keatley Snyder. Surprised to see The Headless Cupid on there and remember reading several of her books.
