BBAW: ANd so… the time has come…

Wow did that week go by fast or what?  I am sitting here with COFFEE CUP looking at the books I was giving away this week – I still have one more – and well… wow.  This is it.

Todays questions was what did we get out of the week.  This was the first week, yesterday actually – where I was able to actually just sit down and enjoy blogs and blogging.  Usually I am squeezing in a few minutes here, half a post there, drafting when I can..but yesterday I had my first lay low day in a long time and I took full advantage of hanging out with Laptop and pounding out a couple posts and a lot of visits, and you know what?

It felt good.

Today will be a bit the same.  The crew is finally coming today to start my book shelves and I am going to take laptop and the dogs downstairs and do a little reading and writing and stay out of the construction.  (Unless I sneak up to get a picture or two….)

Have a great rest of BBAW everyone.  Be sure to check out the BBAW site and see the giveaways and the posts – and maybe meet a new blogger or two along the way. 😀

My last giveaway is Night Road by Kristin Hannah.  I have two copies of this book.  I have not read it yet but have heard good things.  Leave me a comment today sharing with me what you enjoy most about book blogs. 😀  I will choose a winner and announce tomorrow winner along with my other giveaways going on this blog this week.

Happy Friday! 😀

  1. I don’t need a copy of this book, as I already have one…loved it, btw. I enjoy the community feeling of blogging, and waking up each morning to find my inbox full of lovely posts to read.

Connecting and conversing is what it’s about for me, and also looking at pretty blogs with interesting and thought-provoking posts.

  2. I’d love a copy of this book! For me, book blogs have been a great way to expand my community of bookish friends, and to find out about good reads from people whose opinions I trust.

  3. Thx for the giveaway! And the fun week!!

I like the community – hanging out with so many people who like to talk about BOOKS. It makes it easier for me to stop boring my loved ones around me with detailed descriptions of my favorite scenes and get down to the business of enjoying all the OTHER moments in my life ’cause I have a place to vent and share and chatter online. I love book blogs!!

  4. I am happily married to a man who does not like books, he hasn’t finished one physical book in the entire 10 years we have been married, and really can’t comprehend WHY I love books so much. Book Blogs allow me to not only expand my own knowledge of books and authors but the community is valuable in helping me figure out the age old question of “what shall I read next?” Having found blogs of people, like yourself, who have similar reading tastes is an invaluable tool for me when selecting my next book. This community of “friends” who have the same passion for the written word and like to talk about it keeps me coming back day after day. Thank you for what you do Sheila, you make every day that much more enjoyable and are guaranteed to put a smile on my face.

    1. Thank you Sarah. My hubby is not a reader either, unless it is an equipment magazine 😛 I dont think he can quiet his mind enough to get into a good fiction read. At home I have surrounded myself with book people and on line as well. Thats how I get all the book chat I need 😀

  5. I really enjoy book blogs for several reasons. I find so many new authors (to me). I get to learn more about them and others that I follow. It helps me stay up-to-date on the new or re-released books coming out. I also like reading the reviews on books that I am interested in and even those that I have not heard of. I have been reading outside my normal reading boundries since I have been following book blogs. Fun stuff!!

  6. I’m envious of the custom made bookshelves! Although, I can’t really complain. My husband let me pick out a few shelves for our living room when we moved–it was fun putting them together. 🙂 Being a part of BBAW this week has been great fun. It has renewed my blogging spirit and I look forward to seeing what this new year in blogging will hold.

No need to enter me in the giveaway.

  7. If it wasn’t for book blogs, I would seriously have no idea what books are coming or which ones are gonna be hot. I rarely browse the publishers websites, I only scour the blogs! (^_^)
    Happy BBAW!

  8. {not an entry}
So glad you’ve had a few moments peace to play around in blog-land. It makes such a world of difference, for me, when I have been gone too long and then finally get back into the swing of things. I always feel as though I’ve come back home. Have a great weekend Sheila!

  9. I found your blog right after the BEA and have visited every day. You have a fantastic blog…great posts and always so positive about things.

I found so many great blogs this week and more wonderful books. This was my first time participating in the BBAW and I am so glad I did.

I got to know new bloggers and got to know my old blogger friends even better.

It is has been a fabulous week. I loved it all.
