Good morning! It has been one crazy weekend and my online presence has been minimal. Having a laptop would have been…..
awkward. 😀
From Thursday to Sunday afternoon I put 800 miles on my Jeep between the North Shore and the Gunflint Trail…

Then on Sunday I took off the other direction from my home and went to The Cities to the Minnesota State Fairgrounds where I participated with friends and my son, in the Color Run…

And shortly after…
In other news, our book club last week chose out October Classic to be The Wizard Of Oz, so I was uber thrilled to find out that they are making a prequel to The Wizard Of Oz. Have you heard this? I am soooo excited. Here is the trailer:
I have to go get ready, I have some finishing touches to put on a post for later today and I have a 12 hour meeting today – I kid you not. 12 hours. 😯 I will be home around 9 pm tonight.

AWESOME Trailer! Can’t wait!
I cant wait either!!! 😀
Thanks for sharing your photos….you look very happy. Seeing your son…and enjoying the physical challenges must be just what you need. And the books look great!
It was such a blast – this whole past couple of weeks have been Laurel getting to hang out with both sons 😀
Sounds like a lively weekend. The color run seems like a hoot. We finished the GranFondo bike and are still road-tripping to get back ourselves … cheers. http://www.thecuecard.com/
OOh – sounds like you are having fun too!
Great finds at the book sale! Love the pics. Hope the meeting isn’t too horrible (and that you’re in AC).
It was LONG but actually it was interesting too so the time went fast 😀
I just saw the Oz trailer yesterday – looks interesting! And glad you’re having time with your boys. 🙂
I really have been having a wonderful time Carrie…. unfortunately the blog has been a bit silent 😀
I love the messiness of that run! Awesome.
I love that too 😀
I didn’t know about the prequel, but I’ve never seen The Wizard of Oz from beginning to end – it always scared me. 12 hour meetings scare me too!
I have watched it and enjoyed it and read Wicked which was a bit odd in spots but mostly awesome~ 😀 Yeah that was one long meeting!
Oh holy wow!!! I have to see that! Glad you had a great weekend and hope your meeting goes well!
Thanks for such an awesome post!

Sure – some posts are fun to write 😀
so it means we won’t have the Rebecca party before 9 pm??
Sorry – I will explain this in the morning…. it should have went up today but I did not have internet and I thought I would. So sorry.
sounds like you had a great time
I did Ryan 🙂
That color run looks like somuch fun!! I can’t wait! February here I come! 😀
I just listened to Inkheart and I started the whole Outlander series over from the beginning, again. I listened to the Wizard of Oz recently too and didn’t like it as much as I thought I would. I am still somewhat regreting my decision not to do the Philly Color Run, it looks like you and your son had a really fun time! Have a great week!
I almost went to the Silver Bay book sale and then we decided to head north that day instead. How funny would that have been if I would have bumped into you there? lol I’m glad you did the color run! I knew that looked like something you would enjoy. We are going to do a small scale version of this with my scouts (they love getting messy!). Did they just have the paint in ketchup bottles?
Angie that would have been hilarious! I was with Heidi! 😀 And yup, the paint (it was like a powder) was in BIG ketchup like bottles.
There are many things to comment on here but I am SO EXCITED about the prequel to the Wizard of Oz. Thank you so much for sharing the trailer with us. I hadn’t even heard this film was happening.
