Morning Meanderings… Bookish whereabouts….

Good morning!  A quiet one here at the DeChantal home but a productive one book wise…. 😀

This morning I woke up at 2:30 am…. probably because I went to bed at 9:30 (I know – so weird for me, I am a midnight girl!)  Awake, I worked on my bedside read of Every Last Sandwich by Lee Lipenthal.  I have been struggling a bit with this one and hope to finish it later today.

I went back to sleep about 3:15 am and then got up at 6:15 am.  First stop would be brush my teeth and I turned on my audio book of 11-22-63 by Stephen King and continued on his adventures back in time…. (it sounds odd – but trust me it is FANTASTIC!).

Then I got in the jeep and went to fill our wood stove (yup… I am on stove duty the next three weeks!) and listened to Bitter Melon by Cara Chow my current car audio.  I am enjoying this one too!  Back in the house I made coffee to Silence by Becca Fitzpatrick… also getting good.

Now – as I continue to get ready for work and back to 11-22-63, I have to say yay for the weekend.  I really have nothing planned other than work outs and maybe some reading and writing.

How about you – what is on your weekend agenda?  😀

  1. I think my weekend will be totally free! Oh, I love the busy weekends, too, but we do need some breathing room. Time to read, write, and ponder. Enjoy your weekend.

I still don’t know how you jump from audio to audio and keep track! lol

  2. I have not been around the blogs much lately. Too many projects on the go. I can reveal my latest project once it is finalised on Monday.

I am just hoping to stay warm this weekend with the threat of snow on the way and the freezing temps. 🙂

    have a good weekend

  3. Super Bowl Sunday! I’ve taken an extended weekend, and Sunday looks like it’s the only day I actually have things planned: brunch with the boyfriend’s grandmother & aunt, my niece’s birthday party, and then the game.

The rest of my weekend will be used to catch up on bookish things.

It’s been extremely unseasonably warm lately (seriously, 60 in Pittsburgh in February?!). If this keeps up I’d love to go for a walk.

  4. I’m enjoying a day at home today after a very busy 4 days, and I’m also very much enjoying having the use of my right hand again. I still have the stitches (and will until 2/13) but I only have to wear my brace at night. I feel so free!

Tomorrow we have a double header (basketball) at Binghamton Univ. but otherwise we’re not busy until Wed. Maybe I can find the top of my desk by then. 🙂

  5. No firm weekend plans here… everything is dependant on the weather (we’re expecting snow). Might pay a visit to my grandparents and I definitely need to get on with some reading!

  6. I’m reading that Stephen King book right now too, and it is great so far! My wish for the weekend is to kick my feet back on a tropical beach. The reality is three different kids activities/events that I have to run interference with tomorrow since my hubby has a business meeting – a rarity for a Saturday for him. So I imagine my Sunday will be an afternoon where I drift between reading and sleeping with football on in the background (if I’m lucky, otherwise it will be a parade of chores – I’d much rather ignore those for a day and rest).

    1. Your life is busy Alyce! Glad to hear you too are enjoying the book!

If we are making wishes, I want a secluded beach house with quiet beach front where I am can read and snooze at my leisure… all the while tanning and drinking lots of ice cold ice tea! 😀
