Morning Meanderings… Oh the BOOKS!

Good morning!

Running a little late here (I could not get to sleep for nothing last night – toss, turn, toss, turn…. )…. BUT I had to share with you my fun findings as I traveled the blogeshpere yesterday during the Monday meme.

First stop, my dear friend and fellow Bookie, Angie posted about a book on her blog By Book Or By Crook that I am super interested in.

Stop by Angie’s post to read more about this book.

Then Laurel over at Rainy Days and Mondays wrote a review for a book I have been considering for awhile now…

Read more about this book on Laurel’s blog…. wow.  Seriously.

And finally, At Quixotic Magpie, this little gem made me long to read it:

I think it was last year I remember a couple other books coming out centered around Little House On The Prairie.  Both I wanted to read, neither did I get to.

I am off to work, but will be back with a review in just a little while today.  Any good books you have seen while traveling the blogs?

  1. I would think that with the life you lead you would fall asleep as soon as your head hits the pillow. Or maybe like me you just couldn’t shut your brain down; I write the most amazing stories lying awake at night but they’re gone the next morning. 😀

The Wilder Life intrigues me. Years ago I wanted to write about Laura Ingalls Wilder’s daughter who apparently edited her mother’s stories to finish them into books. At least she tried hard to take credit for them. I don’t think she was too nice a person from what I learned about her. Poor Laura had to put up with her.

  2. Oh, thanks for the shout out, Sheila…and I also saw The Courage Tree yesterday and added it to my list! I love Chamberlain’s books.

The Wilder Life spotlights such an intriguing time…loved The Little House on the Prairie. Thinking about the show takes me back to the house and neighborhood where I lived when it was on the air. Totally nostalgic moments.

    Thanks for evoking those memories!

  3. I would love to read The Wilder Life, it looks SO good! 🙂 I’m a bit of a Little House junkie – and I just hope the girls will enjoy reading the books with me when they are a bit older!

  4. Sheila,
I, too, am amazed that you ever have trouble falling asleep…I get worn out just reading about your busy, busy life!!
I am adding the Wilder Life to my tbr pile (which is growing thanks to you!) and wanted to say I hope you enjoy the Courage Tree as much as I did. I love Diane Chamberlain’s writing!!
