Good morning!
What’s happening in your corner of the world?
Pretty normal around here. 😀 The weather has been nice, 80’s but not killer humid, and other than work this week, I have done a little house keeping and DEVOURED the book Between by Jessica Warman (which was released yesterday). My review will be up yet today.
Are you a Shelf Awareness reader? I love this little email I receive on weekdays by 7 am. It lists book and author reviews, book store happenings, upcoming bookish news, and usually a chance to win a book or two. This morning they announced a little incentive for others to sign up:

Since I had nothing witty or spectacular to say this morning… I am going with the Shelf Awareness sign up. 😛 I will put this in my sidebar too for those who are interested, get on board by clicking and entering…. you wont be sorry.
In other news, the big Brainerd Library sale is tomorrow morning at 9 am. I will be there by 7 am. Yes, as a freind of the library I could have helped set up the sale and get first pick of the books… but if you know me… I like the adventure of the hunt. Besides, as I told my friend on the phone yesterday, they may frown apon how many books I would like to have “first pick” at.
I will take my chances in the crowd. 😀
Here is what happened last fall during the wait for this sale:

Enjoy the sale!
Thanks Hannah 😀
I remember that from last year! Funny….
I want that Laura Lippman book, but I’ve already signed up for Shelf Awareness. Thanks, though!
Have a great day.
I love Shelf Awareness, and as well am already signed up so I will wait to get my Lippman fix another way…LOL
I get shelf awarness and I have heard about it at a library meeting.
Love it, I have found so many new authors and gotten so many ARC’s –it wonderful!
Me too Joy, I learn so much by reading it… whats coming out, whats happening in book sales…
The craziest thing I’ve done for a book sale is be in charge of the book sale in Waterbury, CT. Trying to get volunteers, and then get them to show up when promised – forget it! The craziest thing I’ve done for our book sale in PA is go when it was something like 95 in the shade with humidity to match. At that time the sale was in one big tent and it was sweltering. I got several bags of books though!
Ugh… that would be hard Barb. I think I would do it even if it was storming LOL… just adds to the story 😛
that photo cracks me up but I could so see myself doing the exact same thing!
LOL – its easy to mess around when there is no one else there but a crazy friend with a camera 😀
I enjoy reading Shelf Awareness though I only started reading it a few months ago. It is a good resource for my job as well as for book blogging.
Good luck with the book sale! I have never seen a library patron so enthused about it before. At our library book sales we get a larger number of new Friends of the Library members (they get to go to a special “preview” sale before the rest of the public). I hope you find some great treasures to read 🙂
LOL – I am a Library cheerleader! 😛
I just love chatting it up with other book lovers! If I would have helped set up the sale then I could have had first pick at the books (I am a friend of the Library) but I really enjoy the excitement of waiting in the line to see what I will get. 😀
I often wait until the bag day of a sale and end up with bags of books. This must be why I have more books than clothes!
I like getting in right away… my goal along with a couple friends is to be first in line. I joke that we treat it like waiting in line for concert tickets. 😀
I remember this picture from last year 🙂 It cracks me up yet again! Have fun.
LOL – good times… good times 😀
I haven’t done anything too crazy (for books anyway). 🙂 I hope you find many great books!
Thanks Alyce – I did….
