At first glance I already know I want to read, Then Came You by Jennifer Weiner, Haiti by Paul Farmer, I have already read (and LOVED) Forever by Maggie Steifvater, Growing Up Amish by Ira Wagler, Never Knowing by Steven Chase, and The End Of Everything by Megan Abbott.
How about you – any of these stand out as MBR (Must Be Read) for you?
I am going to our cabin today with our Navy son Brad, and his best friend Andy who is also in the Navy. Brad has never seen the cabin before. We had a small one when the kids were growing up, very old school – no indoor plumbing, so tiny that when you pulled out the hide-a-bed it took up the whole living room, meaning you had to climb over the bed to get out the door. It did not have heat, we brought heaters….
AL (hubby and I) saved and saved and by the time Brad had graduated, we had finally found what we liked, a very nice double wide 2001 modular home with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a nice large living room – and even a nicer kitchen than I have in my own home! I can not wait for Brad to see it! 😀
We will be back tomorrow afternoon, I still have commitments to out IHN week and Brad has people yet to visit before he goes back to Florida this next week. Posts and reviews are prepped while I am away.
I am currently reading Then Came You – so far so very good!
Oh good Kristen! I want to read that one! 😀
My problem is I want to read them all!
Oh I have that problem…. I try hard to be choosy but when people gush reviews…. I cave like a deck of cards. 😛
Oh, I see several lovely looking books! I have preordered the new Jennifer Weiner book, and just received Never Knowing this week. I can’t wait to read both of them!
Your cabin sounds lovely! I almost bought something like that awhile ago. But it would have been my primary residence, and lovely as it was, it was too far away from the city to be practical. Would have made a great vacation home, though. Sigh….
Enjoy your time with your son!
The cabin is on a property my hubby grew up on. Its a commitment – 3 + hour drive but once I am there…
I dont want to leave 😀
I’m most excited about Once Upon a River; I love the idea of a female Huck Finn. Also read an ARC of Never Knowing and give it a good review – fluffy, but good.
Enjoy your weekend!
OOH now see Julia, thats how I get too many books! I did not know what that one was about and now… I am interested in it too. 😛
Sex on the Moon?? Really? Is that book even necessary? It sounds like an attempt to capitalize on Mary Roach’s Packing for Mars.
LOL…. I didnt even read the synopsis Jill! 😀
I like how you organized all the new releases by genre. Thanks for that!
I will I could take credit for it Brooke but it was a copy and paste into my post. Good Reads did all the hard work. 😀
Yeah, it seems basically impossible to only want as many as I can read. :p
If only Hannah…. life would be so much simpler…. LOL
There are some great books coming out. I know one must-have is the David Bowie biography. I have been a fan of his for years and years. I remember I had a t-shirt with him on it in 6th grade. None of my friends even knew who he was. That’s what comes from having musically progressive parents. 🙂
Have fun at the cabin and with your son. I would love to be able to have a cabin someday. I can dream, right?
Michelle I am getting more and more into biographys…. now there seem like so many actors and musicians that I grew up with that are writing these now.
I’ve already read and reviewed The Silent Girl. It’s a super story.
OOh really???? See now there’s another one I want to read. “DOH!”
Wow, it must have taken forever to get all of the images together for this post! 🙂
Sex on the Moon is already on my wish list, and my son is eager for the new warriors book.
Oh no, Good Reads set this up I just copy and pasted…. it beautifully links to them. I am not that talented at all to put these together like this 😀
What a GREAT wish list! I just finished Forever and am REALLY looking forward to Wolfsbane. Thanks for putting this REALLY aesthetically pleasing post together. ;O)
I loved Forever too!
Your new ‘cabin’ sounds pretty posh! Thanks for posting all these upcoming releases. So Cool! (Not sure how you got them to fit – but well done anyway!)
The two books that caught my eye right away are Blood Work (I love the Hallows series) and Flashback which I have tried to win a couple of times. No doubt others will hook me as time goes by.
Happy reading!
Thanks Martha 😀 I will have to look closer at the titles you mentioned…
