Good morning. 😀
I feel as though I am reaching a finish line. 😀 Today I work, help out tonight with IHN (homeless program) and then prepare to leave tomorrow for a quick but exciting trip to the cabin. I am taking Navy son Brad and his best friend Andy to the cabin for a night. Brad has never been there and we have owned it now for four years.
I can not wait to experience this with him! He has little time to get around to see everyone before he goes back so we are popping up there on Friday afternoon and coming back Saturday afternoon.
Recently this part of America’s Got Talent (which I really enjoy watching!) was brought to my attention.
….I wept.
This is a wonderful reminder that it does not matter how old you are, what obstacles you may need to leap over (or blow up), never never never let anyone tell you that you can not do something.
Seriously, what a message this has.
Reading a little Harry Potter currently and starting the second book of Bloody Jack on audio as well as Born In Fire by Nora Roberts (LONG STORY ).
Have an awesome Thursday!

Have fun at the cabin! Don’t you love experiencing things through the eyes of your kids, no matter what age they are?
I do Laurel… when the kids were growing up…. oh wait – maybe that is what I will use for tomorrow mornings post… 😉
Never mind….
LOL
Cindy’s performance brought tears to my eyes too. Yay for not giving up on one’s dream! (Thanks for sharing that.)
Enjoy your time at the cabin!
Wow huh? And how sad that her parents told her no! How many years were wasted…..
gah.
Thanks – it will be a short cabin trip but the company will be awesome! 😀
I totally cried too!
Heartbreaking!
Have a great weekend!
Thanks Kathy 😀
I just woke up, so I’ll save the video for a little bit later when I’m more coherent. I hope you and your son have a great time at the cabin!
Thanks Alyce – we will 😀
I was so impressed with Cindy’s performance! She really is an inspiration! Enjoy your visit to the cabin with your son!
Isnt she Beth? I was just in awe….. too old my foot! 😛
(plus she looks like she is in her 20’s!)
I’m really looking forward to the weekend! (Sounds like you are, too.)
Hannah I so am! It has been another crazy back to back weeks and getting away, even it it for a little over 24 hours is still looking pretty sweet to me 😀
