Good morning! A little short on time this morning so I will get right to the point 😛
Yesterday I had my third doctor appointment for my hand. I was again hopeful for a smaller cast…
and I was again denied.
In fact I found out yesterday that while I am healing well (yay super powers!!!) I do have to wear this cast for another 4 weeks.
Stupid, faulty, super powers. 😯
HOWEVER…
Not one to remain down in spirits (that really is a downer…) I went into our local nail shop. The guy asked me how can I help you and I responded, “I would like a pedicure and half a manicure.”
When he looked at me I held up my hands.
So that is what I did.

Have an AWESOME day!

Cute, Sheila! That’s a new twist to the “when life gives you lemons” saga. I like it!
LOL – it was fun, and relaxing. Actually the best part was the hand massage. My right hand also hit the ground and is severely bruised on the palm… the massage really took the tension out and it does not seem to ache as much.
You’re so funny, Sheila! Did you get your manicure for half price? You may not have a smaller cast but at least you know you’re healing well and your manicure and pedicure look great.
They did give me a bit of a price break. I am more at peace with the cast now… resigned to my destiny for the next 4 weeks. 😀
I’m with Barbara! Was that manicure half price? Even if not, though, I bet it made you feel a whole lot better, so it was probably worth it. 🙂
Sorry you’re stuck with the cast for that much longer, though, still.
It did feel nice Hannah. I dont think I received half price (after all there is that bonus thumb to consider…) but I did notice he did not charge me full price. 😀
Awww that is so cute! Great idea as a pick-me-up 🙂
Thanks Amy – it was nice to be pampered. I sat and read during the whole thing 😀
Cute!!! Good for you. You deserve a treat. How is it working with a cast on one hand? Hope the next four weeks fly by for you.
I am doing better with the cast now, faster typing with my right hand then I thought it would be! 😛
You’re thumb probably feels quite special. 😉
I think so Jill, my left hand fingers must feel ratty next to Thumb. 😛
What a great attitude! I’m glad to see you’re healing well.
Thanks Kathy – I am good at laughing at myself 😛
I LOVE that they gave you a manicure on your thumb!!! That is so awesome! 😀
I admit, other than my fish pedicure, I’ve never had a manicure OR a pedicure before…
Hee hee. 😛
OOH – I love both…. you have to do it. Maybe on our meet up!
Haha, that’s amazing! You’re so optimistic and inspirational! It’s so amazing when a person is able to make the best out of every situation.
Thanks Nikola 😀
Sheila, I say to you, “You’re a girl after my own heart!”. Love me my pedicures. Nice pink by the way. Think I’ll get that next. Beautiful manicure on the right and the left thumb. Just perfect!
Thanks Kay! 😀
You have such a great attitude Sheila! I can just imagine you asking for half a manicure haha.
LOL, it made them smile 😀
What a fab idea! They look great 🙂
Thanks… it felt awesome. 😀
It’s great that you found some way to relax and make your hand look spectacular. 🙂
What a wonderful attitude. I hope some of it rubs off on me as I’ve made a very sour lemonade out of the lemons the last couple days handed me. (see my Tuesday post Coffee Stained Rainbow) and I would blush to compare my lemons to yours. I hadn’t been keeping up with the blogs so I didn’t know you had a cast until today and I had to read your blog backwards until I found out exactly what happened. .yikes!
