Good Morning.
*GAH*
I have been sitting here thinking about the last month and my lack there of my regular scheduled work outs. I can not even really blame the bike injury as it started weeks before then… actually mid May.
Prior to BEA (New York) I was too busy with regular work stuff and meetings to do my kick boxing and group power lifting… back from New York I was recovering from New York (does this happen to anyone else? Where you need to recover from the vacation? Just wondering…)… that weekend I had a 40 mile bike ride…. woo hoo…. bit of exercise….
then nothing until the MS 150 the following weekend where I crashed at mile 71 and have done nothing since…. 😯
So – pity party aside…
here is my game plan of what I CAN DO…
I CAN still roller blade. I have a deep gash on my right ankle but I think if I cover it I will be ok.
I CAN walk and jog on the tread mill
I CAN use the elliptical
I CAN take my dogs for walks in the nearby park… something I always plan to do… but never do…
I CAN bike…. (yes, I can!) and today I get my bike back – woo hoo!!!
So there is the “plan B” in my life… I do not have to be inactive, and I need to get moving in a stronger more positive direction. 😀
LAPTOP made it home yesterday and is working fine! My bike (which I call Opportunity Drive) will be home this afternoon. I WILL make a full recovery from this injury and move forward starting today.
Ok… no idea where all that came from other than I am tired of sitting around with the TV on. Back to the books and the fun. 😀
Work out with me this weekend…. share your ideas for getting a little exercise while having fun doing it. I would love to know!

Whoopee! Sheila is getting back to normal! Laptop and bike back, feeling better – it’s all good.
I really hope so Barbara! I miss me! 😛
I’m having a bit of trouble with exercise too on account of it has been in the 100’s outside lately, and in the house I rarely exercise since there is the couch and books calling to me. I share your UGH and GAH!
Opposite outdoor troubles here Jill… low 60’s and rainy… every day since last Friday. It is a bit depressing. mmmm…. books. 😀
i work in an orthopedic office and as much as you want to exercise…i would advise against it…if you have a cast on and you sweat your skin can become extremely irritated in the cast
if you fall you can reinjure yourself in the cast
i apologize for being a downer!!!
Diana…. you are a downer… LOL 😛
Ok – I make no promises other than I will be careful… I can take walks 🙂
Oh, just the slightest thing can tip me off my schedule of exercising…probably because I’m looking for excuses…LOL
And yes, I always have to recuperate from vacations. It’s probably all the out of the ordinary stuff we do when we’re away from home.
Yay for recovered bike and laptop!
I try to find ways to work out every day Laurel but not so much this last month. I have to believe though that all the walking I did in New York and in Chicago has to count for something. 🙂
Glad everything is back from their respective hospitals!
Thanks Hannah – it is good to have everyone back home. 😀
Oh, I bet!
So glad you’re feeling better! Totally understand about needing time to recover from vacation, as I always need a day or two to get back into the swing of things. BEA especially, as I was exhausted afterwards! Please be careful while easing back into your exercise routine, as I’d hate for you to suffer any setbacks!
I hear you and I will be careful 🙂
