Good Morning! What a week huh? So much going on but I am working hard to keep on top of it all…. Audio Week (woo hoo!!!) is happening and if you did not see my giveaway you can still check that out, and the current mid-week audio thoughts are here:
Current/most recent audiobook: I listen to 3 at a time (different locations people…. don’t be afraid!) In my car is Every Last One by Ann Quinlin. In my IPOD is Bossy Pants by Tina Fey (hilarious!), and in my kitchen CD player is the Maltaise Falcon (which honestly is freaking me out a bit… is is performed by The Hollywood Theater Of The Ear…. and it takes a bit of getting used to.)
Impressions: One good, one great, one ummmm….. (you can guess which is which :D)
Current Favorite Audio: So touch to choose but I really enjoyed The Art of Racing In The Rain by Garth Stein. (*sob) That’s all I’m saying.
One narrator I wold choose over print: I am not “there” yet. When it comes to narrators, I am still a rooky. Sitting on the bench waiting for the coach to let me in the game. 😛 (It’s early yet – first cup of coffee….)
Genres I most often listen to: I really am all over the genre field. I think with audio I am more daring… a classic or what looks to be a hard read I may try in audio and have had good luck with that.
If given the choice I will always choose audio when: … When I am traveling. I am actually bummed when I have to ride with someone somewhere as most will not tolerate my “do you mind if we listen to hours of audio? 😛
If given the choice I will always choose print when: If it is a book I really want to know well, I need to be able to go back and forth… and repeat as necessary.
Ok – BUT the real real REAL reason for this post title is that tomorrow is……My Blogiversary! SQQQQUUUEEEEEEE!!!!! Seriously SSSQQUUUEEEEE!!!! 😀

Happy Bloggoversary Eve?
Love your answers to the audio week questions. I recently read The Maltese Falcon but I can imagine it would be an interesting LISTEN. 🙂
Thanks for entering my giveaway for Neverwhere! but you didn’t even comment on any of my The Book Thief reviews for an extra chance (I know, you are busybizzy)
I’ll tweet and retweet this for you. 🙂
Its a weird listen Care… its dramatic, and over the top with the sound effects…. its only three cd’s so we will see if I can stick it out. 😀
OOH I did not catch that part about the comment…. I would love to as I live that book! LOVE IT!
Are you saying tomorrow is your second blogiversary? It’s hard for me to believe you’ve only been blogging for two years – you seem like a pro!
I watched a lot of pro’s like you Kathy and learned from the best book bloggers I could read. 😀
Have fun cleaning your blog for the big blogoversary 🙂 Will the ice sculpture be of a book or is it a surprise?
LOL…. I was trying to think of something witty there for the ice sculpture and came up with nothing so left it at that for now…. guess it will be a surprise… even to me 😀
Happy Blogoversary!!
Always enjoy visiting…..
Another Bossypants listener! So glad to hear it. I’m currently listening to Tina Fey and loving every minute of it.
It is so good…. I have to bring it on a girls trip we are having in a couple weekends.. have to figure out how to get my IPOD to play through the radio…. I know there is a way….
Wow, I can almost count your beginnings blogging days as the point at which I really started blogging…and obsessively adding lots of blogs. LOL
Yours was the first WP site I visited…and I learned a lot from you about how to do things. Thanks again! I still have a lot more to learn, of course.
I’ll be here tomorrow bright and early!
Thats true Laurel – you and I started about the same time and like Ryan (Wordsmithonia) I met you on the NIng site.
So glad you will be here early! Cant wait! :D.
Whaaa cOngratulations!! Have a cupcake 🙂
Why thank you Jillian 🙂 Hop you come back tomorrow too – things are going to be happening 😀
Sheila for some reason I thought you have been blogging longer then that. It feels like i have been reading your blog forever. (Which is a good thing)
Well i am wishing you a happy blogiversary and wishing you all the very best. You are a awesome blogger and I love coming to read what you have to say.
It surprises me sometimes too Cindy – I think really… only two years? But year… I started June 9, 2009. 😛
Thank you for your kind words!
Happy Blogoversary eve!! :o)
I as well listen to more than one book at a time. Usually I’m listening to one at work and one on my iPod in the car (or when I’m cleaning, exercising.. etc). I just love audio books!
Here’s my audio book week post!
Mickey @ imabookshark
Thanks for the link! 😀
I’ve got three audios going too! When you listen to Bloody Jack, Katherine Kellgren will fast become a favorite narrator! :p) LOL – Just recently I choose to drive alone so I could listen to These Things Hidden, everyone just want to talk while driving, what’s up with that?
OOH now I am even more excited Nise! 😀
Happy pre-Blogiversary!
Thank you Jen! 😀
I’ve been blogging for two years too, but I forget what date exactly. Bring on the ice sculpture – it’s hot and humid in PA.
LOL….. the ice sculpture is new this year…. I thought it would add a little something…
Happy almost blogoversary – I will definitely be back tomorrow to see what you have going on!
I haven’t tried listening to more than one audio book at at time…just listening to one book while reading another is still new to me!
I’ve noticed that a ton of people of listening to Bossy Pants – I think I am going to have to check it out!
My mid-week meme can be found here.
Kristen – oh it is so funny… she is a bit… well, Tina Fey… so a little graphic at times but not too bad.
Oooh Happy Blogoversary Eve! I’ll certainly be back by tomorrow!
Oh yay!!!! 😀
Only one year old? I thought it was longer. Well, happy blog birthday a day early. I’ll be back for the party. 🙂
Well – two years, officially tomorrow 😀 The link in the post is to last years party… that was the big ONE. Tomorrow – will be just as AWESOME!
Hi Sheila – {Picture little girl jumping up and down waving at the teacher to answer the question!} I Know! I Know! *BG*
I didn’t realize we are both two years old – our blogs that is. Mine is in July.
Hey – I love your audio thoughts summary – May I copy it for a post on my blog about audios too? Remember: imitation is the greatest form of flattery. But I don’t want to copy the questions/format without your permission. I will give you credit. 🙂
Hi Martha – the questions are actually Jen’s from Devourer of Books and she has encouraged us all to use them – so feel free 🙂 You should also then link your post to her post (she has a linky area) so people can come read it. You can connect to her above in my post – where I linked her blog. 😀
Happy blogiversary eve, Sheila!
Thank you Hannah! 🙂
The Art of Racing in the Rain is on my audio wishlist… sound like I should move it up!
JOAnn it is so well done! Oh wow…. I loved that audio!
I’ll be sure to stop by tomorrow after work! When I saw the post on goodreads, I thought you were actually inviting us to stop by Brainerd…I know, it was a long day.
I still haven’t gotten much of the hang of audio books, but love all your recommendations. I file them away for future use!
LOL – the invite things are so funny – you have to put in a city and state…. LOL – at least it wouldn’t be a long drive for you right? 😀
Happy Blogoversary!
I did want to mention that, yes, the sound effects are very much intentional in the edition of The Maltese Falcon that you have! It was scripted like a radio play and performed by Michael Madsen, et al, with full foley in the studio and in post! It’s actually won quite a few accolades and awards; but you have to keep in mind that it is a “totally different head” than a straight audiobook!
It really is Tanya…. I was surprised but trying to get used to it…. its almost kind of funny and I picture those old detective movies the way they talk…. 😀
I think I need to listen to Bossy Pants!
