Good morning.
Yes – I am late but it is still morning π
By the time I came back home last night at 6 pm I had dinner grabbed a book went to read in bed and fell asleep.
True story.
Apparently the cold water wiped me out.Β π
So all I really have this morning is a few plunge pics and to tell you that it was COLD.Β It was a little SCARY.Β BUT for the cause and to hang out with my bike ride team it was also AWESOME and FUN.
More pictures may come in over the next few days… I did not know everyone taking pictures so I am waiting to see what other people post on Facebook.Β All my pics are on Facebook – Sheila DeChantal but here are a few highlights:

Bravo! I truly believe you when you say there are no words! Stay warm today!
LOL – I will…. I feel better now that I am warm and had lots of sleep – that cold and wind knocks the spunk out of you π
And there is snow and ice on the ground. O. my. god. This must have been SO cold!! Very brave of you to do this. I hope you got warm soon enough afterwards.
Well done!
I did – and then we all went out to a yummy lunch so all was forgiven…. LOL π
Oh you looks so cold and yet so happy at the same time! This looks like fun actually — in a painful, rejuvenate your spirit kind of way! XOXO
It was fun – I would do it again π
OMG – you are nuts. I bet you were really glad to get back in the warm.
LOL – I had to let people know that readers do more than read π
Hats off to you! I can imagine how cold it was, your expression says it all!
Aths – I just kept saying – it is in and out – that’s it… I can do this π
Looks cold – but fun! Stay warm today, read a book:-)
I hope too π
I am in total amazement…what were you like in high school and college? Your parents must have had many serious talks with you about your antics!!! LOL…
This was yesterday Patty. YESTERDAY. π
Great pictures π
That is awesome!
Thanks – it was kind of fun… glad I did it.
You are a brave, brave woman Sheila!
LOL π
Oh my I can just imagine how that would feel! You are a brave woman! I hope today will be a day full of hot coffee, a warm blanket, and heat for you!
I may take in a movie π
That sounds like so much fun! π Love the pics hon and hope you had a lot of hot beverages after that cold dip in the water!
It actually was fun Kristen π
Oh my gosh, Sheila, you are so hardcore! I can’t really say jumping in the freezing lake looks like fun, but the experience looks like a fun time π
LOL – you should have joined me Kim! π
Great photos…and probably a great experience…BRRRR.
Thanks for sharing.
It was Laurel π
The look on your face after you got out of the water is priceless! Love it! I also like the other woman’s strapless gown with a long-sleeved jersey – very smart.
I used the hanger straps on my dress π
Looks freezing! Hope you’ve got some warmer activities planned for today. =)
Staying in – doing a little reading, a little laundry π
Holy crap you are brave! That looks SO cold!
LOL… It was really cold – they said it was the coldest day of all the Minnesota plunges they had done.
WOW! How brave! Did you immerse yourself?
I did not dunk my head Shirley – it splashed over my head but the water was about chest height.
You are brave woman!!! π
eh…. it was fun π
Wow. I can’t tell if you’re brave or crazy!! π
I would believe a bit of both Amanda π
Oh my goodness, you’re crazy! But it made for fun pictures. Thanks for sharing. LOL.

There are no words!

carol
Thanks Carol π
Love the look on your face afterwards! You’re right, there are no words! *L*
And did I spy a few male “Snow Queens” in your group picture? It looks like one of the Queens had a wet suit on under her dress! Smart!
Yes we had three guys on the team. And yes, Rhonda was wise and had some sort of latex pants under her dress. π
Bravo! You did a great job. I don’t think I could ever do that.
Thanks! It was actually pretty fun.
How cold was the water and how cold was the temperature? It actually looks fun to do with a crowd of people!
I heard it was 30 degrees Helen – and yeah, the people make it exciting π
That is pretty cool…or should I say cold! Wow! Those are some neat photos and a brave/crazy thing to do! Good for you!
It was pretty intense Jenners – but fun too π
Oh man Sheila, just looking at these pictures I had to grab a quilt and turn on the fire place! Good for you though!
We survived Bonnie π
All I can say is, “WOW!”
π
I’m glad to see y’all plunged in such style!
The team decided if they were going to do – it should be really memorable π
I still can’t believe you did this! You are one gutsy lady. π Love your Facebook profile pic.

Okay, I just have to say that I think you’re insane! LOL
I fully understand that assessment Carrie π BUT – we raised $55,133 for Special Olympics π
That is an amazing amount – fantastic!

Thanks Sheree π It was something I never thought I would do but so glad I did. π
Brrrr….you are so brave!
*smiles*
LOL π
You look so very cold! Not that that’s surprising … I think going to bed early was probably a good plan β and it might help you with the adjustment to DST, too? One can hope, anyway. :p
LOL – yeah, that is a COLD look π
Ouch. Even looking at it makes my head hurt (or, wait, I already had a headache …) :p
LOL – oh! Sorry about the head ache! π
Well, to be fair, it’s not your fault. :p
Have I mentioned that you’re CRAZY??!! π
LOL – not recently…. π
LOL! Girlfriend, you are KUH-CRA-zy!! But you look really cute … and totally frozen (like a formal popsicle) … seriously, you all look like a fun bunch, and I’d love to participate some day (cheering from the sidelines)! π
It was quite the day Julie! π
OMG … I looked at these pictures and wow, you guys are crazy! I hope you raised lots of money. I’ll join the sideline cheerleaders. π
Yes we did! $55,133
Great photos! I would never have been able to do it.
I would have never thought I would either…. but I do like adventures π
