Morning Meanderings… The PLUNGE (The Day After)

Good morning.

Yes – I am late but it is still morning πŸ˜‰

By the time I came back home last night at 6 pm I had dinner grabbed a book went to read in bed and fell asleep.

True story.

Apparently the cold water wiped me out.Β  πŸ˜€

So all I really have this morning is a few plunge pics and to tell you that it was COLD.Β  It was a little SCARY.Β  BUT for the cause and to hang out with my bike ride team it was also AWESOME and FUN.

More pictures may come in over the next few days… I did not know everyone taking pictures so I am waiting to see what other people post on Facebook.Β  All my pics are on Facebook – Sheila DeChantal but here are a few highlights:

Belinda, Me, and Jana waiting at the legion for the shuttle to the plunge.

Full team pic - we were the "Snow Queens"

A Minnesota girl is ALWAYS prepared

I think that may be fear on my face

I am in - (water to the left) you just can not really see me

And on my way out

... There are no words

  1. And there is snow and ice on the ground. O. my. god. This must have been SO cold!! Very brave of you to do this. I hope you got warm soon enough afterwards.

    Well done!

  2. I am in total amazement…what were you like in high school and college? Your parents must have had many serious talks with you about your antics!!! LOL…

  3. The look on your face after you got out of the water is priceless! Love it! I also like the other woman’s strapless gown with a long-sleeved jersey – very smart.

  4. Love the look on your face afterwards! You’re right, there are no words! *L*

And did I spy a few male “Snow Queens” in your group picture? It looks like one of the Queens had a wet suit on under her dress! Smart!

  5. You really are a determined lady – i think i would pass out with just the thought of it! Oh there i go!!!

    Well done πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

  6. You look so very cold! Not that that’s surprising … I think going to bed early was probably a good plan β€” and it might help you with the adjustment to DST, too? One can hope, anyway. :p

  7. LOL! Girlfriend, you are KUH-CRA-zy!! But you look really cute … and totally frozen (like a formal popsicle) … seriously, you all look like a fun bunch, and I’d love to participate some day (cheering from the sidelines)! πŸ™‚

  8. OMG … I looked at these pictures and wow, you guys are crazy! I hope you raised lots of money. I’ll join the sideline cheerleaders. πŸ˜‰

Hmmmm... what do you think?
