GOOD MORNING!
Yes – that is enthusiastic. I am coming off one of the best Saturdays I have had in a long time….
I am relaxed
I feel accomplished
and I was able to read!
It does not take much to make this girl happy. 😀
I was up until 1:00 am last night finishing up Skipping A Beat by Sarah Pekkanen. Sarah’s new book is being released on Tuesday and I want my review to go live on that day as I adore Sarah – and this second book…. well – yeah. I can not wait to talk to you about it! Sarah and I will also be chatting here at Book Journey this week about the book, about life and about fictional characters we would love to hang out with.
Between my excitement over Sarah Pekkanen and my excitement over my upcoming chat with author Cheryl Lu-Lein Tan from my review of Tiger In The Kitchen…. I feel really good going into this week.
Now – if I could only finish Olive Kitteridge which is my bonus book club review – at my house this Tuesday and I have yet to crack the spine. *gulp!* This is my quest for today. 🙂
So I am off to start my Sunday – nothing big happening here, I am picking up Chance in 20 minutes and after Church I need to plan out our meals for the week while I listen to a little audio, shop a little and then home base for hopefully some quality reading time.

I loved The Opposite of Me so I can’t wait to read your review of Skipping a Beat. Good luck with Olive Kittredge.
I have a book I hope to finish today (Silent in the Grave) and some reviews as well as my It’s Monday post to write.
Have a fantastic day!
LOL – why do I keep hearing good luck with Olive Kitteridge? 😛
I am getting a little nervous as this book sits next to me…
Oh, glad you had a great Saturday! Yay! 😀
First real one in a long time! 😀
Felt great! I am so relaxed.
That’s so awesome! It’s been awhile since we’ve had that kind of Saturday / weekend, too.
My sister’s coming over to hang out this morning. So I’m cleaning up a bit this morning and listening to my audio book Curse of the Blue Tattoo. 🙂
Fun! And curse of the Blue Tattoo? Interesting! 😀
Oh I can’t wait to read Sarah’s book! I had dinner with her and several other amazing lady writers a month or so ago and she was so so so charming and wonderful! So glad you enjoyed the book 🙂 XO
She is so wonderful Rebecca – I had an opportunity along with Kathy (Bermuda Onion) to hang out with her last May and it was so wonderful!
Good luck on your reading! I plan on starting a book today (and hopefully finishing it) but I haven’t quite settled on what. I know I want a dystopian though….
OOH enjoy! I have a couple I needs to finish and a few more I am so excited to get to! 😀
I’m reading Skipping a Beat right now and so far, it’s even better than The Opposite of Me! I can’t wait to read your interview.
I think so too Kathy – I cant wait to read your review too… this one really touched me.
I feel guilty, now, as The Opposite of Me, which I won from one of your contests, is still sitting on the top of a short stack of soon-to-be-read books…and still unread. Not that I don’t want to read it…I do, and I have many other lovely books in that stack, too.
I’ve been focusing on my old TBR stacks…and review books. And now chunksters!
Soon….
Here’s MY SUNDAY SALON
You should read it Laurel – it will be quick and then you will be up to speed 😀
This is sort of an off day for me…my husband had to leave early this morning so I have a free day…I stayed in bed with a huge cup of Golden French Toast coffee and read even more of A Discovery Of Witches…I won’t cook today or do anything but blog and watch television and read.
I am sorry Patty – I could read nothing after you said huge cup of Golden French Toast coffee. What is this? It sounds delicious. Can I come over?
😛
After church, wherein I taught the three-year old Sunday School class, we had a stir-fry lunch and now I’ve been spending a couple hours reading blogs. Something I seem to do more than I read books! I get satisfaction from both but that TBR pile is growing. Perhaps tomorrow…..
I have some days where I spend more blog hopping than reading too Shirley – usually Mondays 🙂
I haven’t read any of Sarah’s books yet, but I’m pretty sure I own one – I’ll have to check my shelves.
Today after church we got new tires for our truck, and the center happened to be within walking distance of The Olive Garden, so that was a special treat for lunch. I then went into a carb-coma and slept for three hours when I got home. 🙂 Walked with the family after that and now getting ready for dinner (although I’m not that hungry to be honest).
Sleeping three hours on a Sunday afternoon? OOOHH!! 😀
I would love to be taking walks now but still too cold in Minnesota for that 🙂
