Morning Meanderings… I think I have Saturday hair…

Good morning *as I shuffle through the kitchen hair all a twang in sleep pajamas and large fluffy slippers*

Saturday.

At last.

Today Chance and I are road tripping to St Cloud.  I need to look at a couple of things at Hennen’s (the furniture store) and then of course we need to stop at Barnes and Noble (tradition when I am in the area) and maybe we will hit Mongo’s on the way back.  I am hoping not to make a long day out of this as I want to get back home and do a little reading.

For Alyce’s Saturday snapshot I wanted to post this:

This is (Left) Sara, Me, and Cindy. We are in Duluth at the park in fall of 2009. Other than that... we are just goofing off. 😀

This morning as I was looking at my Good reads email I was all excited to see some of the beautiful new releases coming out!  (Ignore the mass piles of books behind me as we share in this moment of new books).

I mean just look at them!

Looking at these, I have heard good things about West Of Here, I am absolutely kicking myself that I have taken the time to read Delirium yet even though it is on my Nook., Fortunate Sons looks interesting, I just read a review on The History Of Witches that sounded interesting enough, and Madame Tussaud is the latest ny Michele Moran – and of course that is totally SSQQQUUUEEEEE  worthy!  Of course there is also Sarah Pekkenen’s new one Skipping A Beat (not pictured here) but woo….. I loved her last book.

Are there any on this list that are on your “must read” list?  Any other releases coming up that you have circled on the calendar and can not wait to read?

  1. I just got A Discovery of Witches to be reviewed.
I am just afraid that I have chosen a wrong book.
Since I read the first page, the word choices seem difficult for me to understand. But let see, If the next pages can give me something better

Thanks for posting those cover above.

I really want to read Angelfire and The Iron Witch

  2. Oh my gosh…it is posts like this that have me salivating. What is wrong with me that I could gain such a sense of thrill just looking at photos of new releases??? I really must be a book nerd, and if I am …well then…I am a happy one!! I really need to pick up my reading pace because there are several in there that I want to read!

I have already read “Madame Tussaud”; an excellent book. I have read it already and so I very much agree that it is SSQQQUUUEEEEE worthy.

  3. all of the memoirs have me itching to go the bookstore….BUT
i have over 500+ in my shelves already and a library hold list half that size (slight exaggeration on that one…don’t think they allow that many holds!)
so i will add them to my notebook of “must have really soon”
    enjoy your saturday!

  4. Just about every one of those historical fiction new releases has me wanting to skip breakfast and speed read through my ‘currently reading’ pile! Have fun today!

  5. Madame Tussaud is definitely on my must read list! Exit the Actress and A Discovery of Witches are also books I’m interested in. I’ve already read Delirium (loved it) and The Iron Witch (liked it).

    Have fun shopping today!

  6. You and your friends always look like you are having such a good time! And, thanks for making me drool all over my keyboard when I saw all those beautiful books!

  7. As if my To Read list isn’t long enough…people keep writing *more* books. Sheesh. 😉

I can’t see all the books in your post because they get lost under the right sidebar. Of the ones I can see, Oracle of Stamboul is on my bookshelf and is going to be one of the first reads in March. Amaryllis in Blueberry is on my To Read list. (I hoped to win a copy from Goodreads First Reads, but no. :/) and I’ve heard nothing but good things about The Paris Wife and A Discovery of Witches.

Oh, I love books entirely too much. 🙂

    1. I know – why don’t they stop? Oh yeah, we don’t want them too! 😛

I noticed the pic was too big too – it wasnt on my post page but oh well… I tried to shrink it and it didi not work.
Amaryllis in Blueberry is just an awesome titile!

  8. It looks like y’all were having fun! I know what you mean about books – I have stacks too, but there are so many new ones coming out that I don’t want to miss – I don’t even know where to start! I need a maid, a chef and a personal secretary!

    1. We were Kathy – we were on our way to the cabin for the weekend and stopped in Duluth for dinner and then started walking the park. There was no one else there so we took the liberty to have some fun pictures! 😀

    1. I need these pictures this time of year J L. 😛 When it is so clod outside and all I want to do is hide in a pile of blankets and hoodies – I need to remember that it will not always be this….
      wintery.

  9. I actually for once preordered some books! I preordered Darkest Mercy by Melissa Marr and Pale Demon by Kim Harrison. I can’t wait for them to come on the 22nd! 🙂 There are a ton of great books coming out and I need to stop buying books – seriously. I think I’m over 500 on my TBR at home. Hope you have fun at St. Cloud!

  10. I think I recognize Leif Erickson Park! Go ahead. Read Delirium. I thought it was an interesting dystopia. Of all the new books above, I am most looking forward to the new J.D. Robb and the new Jeaniene Frost. A Discovery of Witches has really been tempting me lately but I have managed to resist so far.

    Have a great day!

  11. Of the above, ones I really want to read include Amaryllis, Red Herring, Pioneer Woman. And maybe Oracle of Stamboul. Ahh, so many books! 😀

Hope you have a good jaunt!

  12. Love looking at all those great covers. There’s so many great ones being released every day..how will we ever be able to keep up???

Great photo of you and the girls!!

  13. What a great photo! You are such daredevils…LOL

    Thanks for sharing.

Love the new book selections…I’ve noticed that I’ve been ordering lots of things for “Sparky,” my Kindle…thinking I won’t have to feel guilty, since they don’t take up shelf space…ha!

I read and reviewed Reading Women, as a review copy…loved it! (On my Miles to Go blog).

    Here’s my SATURDAY SNAPSHOT

  14. I love the photo of you guys goofing off!

Several of the books there are either on my TBR list or wish list. I’m actually in the middle of Madame Tussaud right now and it’s good so far.

  15. I have almost all the books in the following; fiction, history, memoir, mystery and historical fiction. Of the ones I have currently read I have not been disappointed. 🙂

  16. I almost bought The Discovery of Witches the other day, but couldn’t convince myself to part with the $34. But there is always Kindle ($10). it looks so interesting.

  17. Got the meanderings in my mailbox this evening when i got home and had a leaf through the books – saw the synopsis of ‘The Perfect Play’ i think i HAVE to read it!

    Thanks again!

Hope you had a nice weekend!

Hmmmm... what do you think?
